You can start a discussion about an individual item on the RRN by Asking a Question at the bottom of an item record page. Questions you ask will appear as public discussion on the item record page for all to see. If you would like to contact someone privately, send them a message.

Your discussion question will appear attached to the item itself, but also on the Forums page under Item Discussions.

Try it!: Try starting a discussion by Asking a Question about an item on the RRN.

1. Search for an item using the Find tab.
2. On your page of results, click on the image of the item you would like to know more about.
3. Click on the Ask a Question tab on the page of the Item Record you would like to discuss.
4. Click on New Question.
5. Enter in a Title for your Discussion in the space provided.
6. Type in what you’d like to ask or say in the Text space.
7. Invite users to the discussion question by clicking in the Notify People by Email space provided.
8. Begin typing the name of the user you would like to invite, and select their name from the drop down menu that appears.
9. Click on Create Discussion at the bottom of the page.
10. Your Discussion will immediately appear in the discussions tab, and it is always public.
11. Click on your discussion to view it on another page, where you will see when others comment in your discussion and share their ideas with you.
