Tom Patch Wamiss was a carver and a chief in Kingcome Inlet. He was the first chief in the Kwakwaka'wakw nation to hold a potlatch after the ban was lifted in 1952. Tom Patch Wamiss worked with Willie Seaweed and Herbert Johnson on a memorial pole for King George V; their varying styles were all apparent. Willie Seaweed made a number of masks for Tom Patch Wamiss. Tom Patch Wamiss was married to Susan Joseph.
