Edith Henderson (nee Jackson) is addressed as Mrs. Patsy Henderson in file correspondence; Edith was the wife of Patsy Henderson (Tlingit). Her husband, Patsy, is said to have been part of the party, in 1896, who discovered gold on Rabbit Creek (then renamed Bonanza Creek) which started a gold rush in the Yukon. The gold seeking party is said to have consisted of George Carmack, his wife Kate, Skookum Jim, Tagish Charlie and Patsy Henderson. Her father was Chief Hootchi Jim (buried in Whitehorse). Her mother was Mary Jackson.
