Ohno (Ōno), Bakufu (大野麦風) (1888–1976), born in Tokyo, was a Japanese painter. His name is sometimes spelt as Ōno Bakufū; his actual name was Ohno Yozo (大野要蔵). His paintings were used as designs for woodblock prints, and the process of printmaking was likely supervised by him. He is best known for his fish prints, notably from the series “Dai Nihon Gyorui Gashū” (大日本魚類画集, Pictures of Fish in Japan), published between 1937 and 1944 as a 'not-for-pubic' 500 limited edition. He made most of his designs from his sketches of living animals and also made some fine landscape and nature prints.
