Dark blue skirt. The skirt is made of three panels of silk gauze woven with roundels enclosing a bat motif and character on a ground of small rectangles. The selvedge is grey with a fine burgundy line. The skirt is open at the back and the right panel overlaps the left. The skirt panels are pleated and inserted into a band of unbleached cotton. The upper edge of the band is scalloped, with the points meeting the ends of two shoulder straps of the same material. The band opens at the front and the front seam is left unstitched near the top.

The gauze fabric has an overall pattern of small rectangles. The skirt is open at the back, where the right panel overlaps that on the left. Upper body garment made of lightweight grey silk gauze patterned with roundels of bats surrounding a circular form of wide lines forming an even cross with arms curving around and bent inwards. The gauze fabric has an overall pattern of small rectangles. The garment is lined with loosely woven white silk. The long sleeves are inset with straight seams. The seam of the sleeves, under the arms, has a pronounced convex curve, narrowing to the wrist. The body of the garment curves downwards to the centre front. It opens at the front, and the front edges are extended with panels extending down from the mid-point of the outer facing. The front panels overlap to the left when closed. The left side has a small fabric triangle attached where the outer facing meets the front edge. The left outer facing is rounded at the lower edge, while that on the left is straight and projects beyond the front edge of the garment. On the right side a small square fabric tab is attached. There is also a narrow facing or collar of white shiny paper, which is partially detached and broken in many places.
Brass bowl with dull patina and signs of corrosion inside. Rim is not perfectly round.
A metal bowl (part a) with a lid (part b). There are characters inscribed at the bottom of the bowl and along the top of the lid.
Gray trousers. The trousers have a wide, straight waistband from which the legs angle out. The outer layer is folded in at the top of the waistband. There is a continuous seam on the inner edge of the legs and rounded crotch. There are second seams on the front and back, about one third of the width away from the centre seam. There is an additional seam on the front and back, angling away from the centre of the crotch to the leg seams. The inner edge of the trousers is rounded in a convex curve, narrowing to the ankle. The inside lining is pale blue fabric.
