Description
Horizontal painting on animal hide depicting four human figures. The figures on the viewer's left and right sides are sitting on stools, while the two figures in the centre are squatting. All four figures are wearing white clothes with coloured accents: the two figures on the stools both have red accents; the centre-left figure, blue; and the centre-right, green. The figure with blue accents is holding a cup to their mouth while the figure with green accents appears to be spinning fibre. The figure on the viewer's right side is reaching into a basket on the floor and also has marks (tattoos ?) on their arms and chest. The figure on the viewer's left side has a small table with cups in front of them on the floor. There is Ethiopian text above the two figures on the viewer's left side as well as below the figure on the viewer's right side. There is a small numbered label written in ink on the lower right side of the back of the skin.

Collected by Fred Haack while living in Africa. Acquired by the Kelowna Museum (now Okanagan Heritage Museum) in 1996.
