Dragon's head carved at one end of buckle. The dragon's body curves slightly upward and is carved with a floral design. Back is smooth with a rounded raised knob.

A pair (parts a-b) of matching buckles which interlock. Each is circular with a convex front surface. The back is silver with an attached slightly-raised bar, 4 cm. long. At the edge of each buckle, there is a loop in the shape of a flattened 'u'. The loop on one piece (part a) is 1.4 cm. wide, and is bent at almost ninety degrees. The loop on the other piece (part b) is 0.7cm. wide, and is bent under to form a hook. The front surface of each is covered in shiny dark blue enamel, on which, there is painted a dragon in gold with touches of white and red.

Larger petals, making up buckle, are covered in panels that alternate between butterfly and floral motifs; negative space between designs and edges of panel is filled with cross-hatching. Panels and edges of buckle are trimmed with bands filled with looped lines. Backs of buckles are undecorated.
