Skull cap of woven rope-like fibre at the top centre with short lengths of stick sewn around the rim in overlapping rows. Covered in red ochre powder.
The boots (part a-b) are brown sealskin with a band of fur and blue fabric around the opening. The boots made of shaved ringed sealskin with soft pleated shaved bearded sealskin soles. The top of the boots is trimmed with a haired strip of ringed sealskin with horizontal fur flow and a blue fabric casing. The drawstrings are made of blue fabric tape that can be tied at the back of the boots. The leg section of the boots is rather broad, angling slightly outward.
Man’s outer coat, or parka, with a narrow, close-fitting pointed hood. Two rounded chest panels of white fur are inserted in front of coat. Hood, sleeves and hem are trimmed with white fur. Coat is waist length with long rectangular tail on the back. Form of tail is repeated with small band of white fur on tail. On the front and around the hood small bands of white fur are inserted. Two white bands are inserted in the upper part of the sleeves. White fur fringes are attached to hem and shoulders, and a tuft of white fur is inserted on the back between the shoulders. A metal button is attached to the back of the coat.
Rectangular shaped textile made of two long pieces of unbleached cotton hand sewn together in the middle with dark pink thread. The ends have a narrow band consisting of narrow stripes of dark red, yellow, navy and green followed by a twisted thread fringe. The bottom is decorated with a thick brown band with thinner yellow, brown, beige and dark green stripes.
Brown blade case with hide tassel at square end and stitched pointed shape at other end. Two flaps on the side, only one of which gives access to inner pocket.
Vest covered with floral beadwork. The basis of the garment is a trade tweed vest (man's); the front has been covered with black wool fabric, trimmed with blue fabric, embroidered with beads in floral designs and trimmed with small brass buttons; the garment was lined with blue cotton at some later stage and there are no armholes in this lining; also, the armholes in the vest were partially sewn closed.
Dark brown leather quiver (part a) and twenty-six arrows (parts b-aa). Twenty-two of the arrows (parts b-w) consist of iron arrowheads of various shapes and sizes bound to bamboo shafts with feather fletchings at the end. Parts x-aa also have bamboo shafts ending with feather fletchings, but narrow to a sharp point at the tip and do not have arrowheads.
Fire starter kit. Pieces a-c range from 7.6 to 12.7 cm in diameter. Two pieces (a-b) are iron pyrite, each in a caribou skin bag. Part c is a piece of copper. Part d is a skin bag of moss (for tinder).
Pair of boots made of sealskin and the throat of a sea mammal (possibly walrus). The feet are made of dark brown dehaired skin. The front and sides of the uppers are made of yellow-brown dehaired skin and the back is made of the yellow-grey thin throat of a sea mammal (walrus?). The uppers are relatively wide compared to the narrow fitted feet and are pleated at the bottom were they are sewn onto the foot section.
Long sleeved, jacket with no collar, a straight back and a vertical opening down the front. The fabric has a repeating striped pattern intermixing a white and brown diamond band with solid stripes in brown, white and blue, all on black ground. Hand woven.
