Carved, rectangular, dark brown hardwood chest inlaid with pearl-white shell inlay. All sides and metal hinged lid have relief carving in leaf and curl design; floral and triangular inlay along borders (6.5 to 9.0 cm. wide) and in relief panels. Key hole centre front at top, below lid, no lock. Top of lid and carved inlaid feet nailed; mortise and tenon side joints. Two hinges and two metal side handles; rusted.
A dagger with a long, tapered, brown and black bone (human? or cassowary?) blade with a modelled red clay handle in the form of a human head. The face is painted black and white and is inlaid with a cowrie shell for each eye. It has a double headband made of cowrie shells and black curly human hair adhered to the 'head'.
An oblong-shaped mask in blackened wood with cut-out eyes and mouth. Two small bumps on the forehead. Large eyebrows. Top of the head, the upper lip, and the jaw areas have been plastered with red clay, and gum, painted over in black, inlaid with cowrie shells, and human hair, held in place with glue.
A flaring blade with a slightly curved edge is surmounted by a humanoid head with looped ears and shell inlays on a simple helmet. Tiny arms jut out in front and the hands hold a shallow bowl at chin level. Two loop ears, one of which is bent flat against the head. One shell inlay on helmet is missing. Triangular indentations for three inlays on the back of the head are empty. The eyes and the mouth may also have held inlays. There is a deep hole under the back edge of the helmet.
Five shell beads strung on fishing line; one circular; one square with four corner holes; two rectangular with four corner holes; one diamond shaped with circles and green stone(?) inlay on each side and two small holes on either end.
Cylinder-shaped jar with flanged lip. Alternating x and bar pattern inlaid around midsection. There are inlaid bands and incised scalloped bands above and below centre pattern.
Cylindrical with extended lip. Stylized lotus pattern band around base and around top under lip overhang. Center band: panels of geometric designs alternating with inlaid copper panels, with narrow copper bands above and below. Light brown residue inside, and on rim, traces of green patina.
Ornament consisting of two pendants hanging by wire coils from a single ring with a metal loop at the top. The pendants are both shaped with a point at the top, sides that curve outwards and then back in to an elongated tip. One pendant has a vaguely spoon-shaped tip, the other is slightly pointed. Two convex leaf-like shapes hang from either side of the top part of each pendant on chains. Each pendant has a floral pattern inlaid with blue, green and red beads.
Bird shaped wooden mat creaser with a groove running lengthwise on the ventral surface. Carved from medium brown wood that has darkened around the tail and wing region, where it would have been gripped when used. Circular wood grain visible on sides of bird. The head of the bird has two small holes to represent eyes. They have been darkened with a resin, which has fallen out of the right eye leaving a hollow socket.
Pounder has long, cylindrical shaft with rounded end. Finial at top is a man standing on a base with shell inlay for eyes and ears and holding a long stick in front of him.
