Mottled brown bark (part a), hollowed out and capped with dark brown hide, glued onto bottom end as a closure, and encircling open top. Stopper with hide acts as a lid (part b). Sinew of various shades of brown are bound in places around the length of the quiver securing to it a rawhide thong near both ends.

Animal horn instrument. The horn is wrapped with leather at the base and carved with eight grooves at the tip. A hole is bored through to the centre from the outside midway between the leather and the tip.

Entire tortoise shell (part a) is used. Bottom shell is glued to the top shell making a container with a narrow opening where the head would have been. A white ostrich egg bead belt, thirteen beads wide, covers the top. Six strands of beads protrude over the opening. Belt (part b) is sewn to a piece of hide and is attached to the underside of the shell by being drawn through two drilled holes.

Hand puppet representing the character Wu Sheng (young warrior). Costumed cloth hand puppet with carved, painted wooden head, hands and feet. Varnished yellow/cream face, black and red detail; black hair glued; ponytail held with glued string. Body (part a) is undyed cotton flaps, attaching around head with attached white hands with holes through sideways; stuffed legs with attached white and green soled black boots. Pasted and stitched panelled green silk robe (part b) in six rounded sections; double front flap at centre; cotton lined. Orange waistband and insets; stuffed yellow and green cat face at centre with red plastic ears, tongue and white plastic fangs; metal eyes. Decorations include; silver foil wrapped tread meanders, gold foil wrapped thread outlines, round and leaf shaped metal sequins and white and orange fur trim. Detachable costume; cord tie at neck.

Mask representing a village husband character (kolam mask) with a pink face, a low forehead with a flat top, painted black hair and eyebrows. The large eyes each have a crescent-shaped slit under them, and the nose is long, straight and narrow with small, indented nostrils. The mouth is closed with thin red lips. The ears are each made of a piece of cut rubber (?) that has been cut at the centre and the resulting corners bent inwards slightly to make each concave. There is a small hole on each side, behind the ears. A label on the reverse reads, "KOLAM MASK village husband," in typewritten characters, and "41" in pencil.

Metal double-barbed point (a) with a metal shaft wrapped in sinew and inserted into a hollow section of sinew-covered bamboo. Into this is fitted a mid-section of carved wood which is pointed at both ends. A bamboo shaft (b) wrapped with sinew at both ends. The posterior end is notched. The anterior end forms a socket which fits over the lower point of the metal shaft.

An arrow with several components: metal double-barbed point with a bark-covered fore-shaft wrapped with sinew, a short section of hollow reed (joining sleeve) a small shaft of carved wood (link shaft), another short joining sleeve, the main length of hollow reed ending with a notched wooden insert. Each joining sleeve is bound with sinew; the main shaft has two bindings, one strengthening the insert, the other repairing a break. All sinew is glued with a mixture of acacia gum and the melted hoof of a gemsbok. The link shaft and first sleeve are glued together with this mixture, as is the fore-shaft. The second joining sleeve is glued to the main shaft and bound to prevent splitting.
