Shoes1128/15 a-b

Ankle-high reindeer fur shoes (part a-b) with up-turned toes and multicoloured laces. The shoes are made of white fur with brown fur soles. The foot opening is edged with brown skin. The six loops on each tongue are also made with brown skin. Criss-crossed through the tongue loops is a long multicoloured string. The string is made up of red, yellow-green and blue strands. On the ends there are square tassels in red, yellow and green.

Tunic1128/14

Woman’s reindeer fur tunic. The tunic has a standing collar, v-neck opening and long sleeves. The tunic hangs straight from the shoulders in front and is semi-fitted across the back, flared below the waist by means of triangular gores. There is a pocket slit in the left front lined with a red checked fabric. The collar is trimmed with multicoloured ribbon, rickrack and red wool fabric. There are red and yellow wool strips inserted into shoulder, sleeve and back seams for decoration and stability. The sleeve ends are trimmed with red wool fabric strips. The hem is unfinished.

A woman's triangular shawl made of jacquard weave of off-white fabric printed with a multi-coloured paisley border design and central medallion. Outlined with red. Long yellow and short orange fringe are sewn to two edges while the third edge is unfinished.

Woman's hat. Hat with ear flaps made of reindeer fur and lined with shearling lamb. Trimmed with a band of red wool fabric and rickrack in the front. Decorative tabs of yellow, green and red fabric inserted into crown seams. Ties of narrow (1.5 cm) woven red, yellow and blue wool braid, finished with wool fabric tabs.

Man's brown leather belt, trimmed with white painted grommets and brown metal studs; fastened with a narrow leather strip and metal buckle. Two leather loops on bottom edge for attaching tools. Two tools attached: a knife (18.3 cm) with metal blade, wood and bone handle, leather and bone sheath; ovoid leather pouch (approximately 33 cm long), trimmed with yellow and red wool fabric, yellow and green rickrack and light yellow-brown reindeer fur. Small square of plastic tape (reflective tape?) glued on at centre back; evidence that two other squares of tape had been attached but have fallen off.

Lace-Making Pattern1350/36

Pattern for making bobbin lace, consists of a strip of parchment which is perforated with pin holes and marked with pencil in a 'fan' lace design. Tabs made of medium blue linen or cotton textile are attached at each end. The initials of the pattern-maker, written in ink, are located at one end. Wrapped as a bundle in a piece of blue tissue paper, secured with a steel straight pin. A descriptive label, hand-written in ink on a scrap of white paper, accompanies the item but is not attached to it.

One male and one female standing figure on a platform (part d) on a boat (part a). Both are painted with black, and white, however the male is also painted blue, and green while the female is also painted red, pink, and blue. Sail (part b) has character meaning "precious", and it is leaning on the mast (part c) There is a purple tassel on each side of the curved sail, and an orange tassel at the front. Sides of the boat are painted blue, red, black, and white.

Cupboard (part a) and clothes rack (part b). Gold circular designs on dark brown ground with brass-bound edges decorate both the cupboard and clothes rack. The cupboard (part a) has three levels: an open top level, a middle and a lower level, each with half open and the other half having two closed doors, on opposite sides of each other. Doors on the middle level have a human figure decoration on the inside. Doors on the lower level have an animal decoration on the inside. The clothes rack (part b) has two horizontal bars.

Writing desk (part a) and storage boxes (parts b-m). Writing desk has a long flat rectangular surface which flares upward and outward at each end, and two legs. Each box has gold circular designs on dark brown with orange tassels dangling from a metal ring at either sides. Each box has a tray inside and a lid on top. The boxes fit together as follows: parts b, f and g together; parts c, h, and i together; parts, d, j, and k together; and parts e, l, and m together.
