Rectangular wooden frame with a thick curved bottom edge and a thin top edge. In the centre of the frame, there are palm fibre teeth. All of the edges are fitted together and are secured with twine.
Pulley bracket with one end carved in the shape of an elephant head and the other end shaped into a "V." There is a hole on each end of the "V" shape and two on the head of the elephant. Overall dark brown patina.
Traditional Hausa carved design. Natural colour with grey lines, possibly in pencil, and dusted with white powder (?). Part (a), base has five carved parallel lines with scallop design above, all around near top. Two deeply carved lines near base, and base carved into nine quadrants, cross hatched on four, lines in the corners, and central square has diamond and lines carved within. Lid, part (b), has scallop design near rim, two parallel lines, and band of short parallel diagonal lines with horizontal cuts, two parallel lines, and cut-out interwoven oval shapes, with carved circles. Large center circle with four carved concentric rings and a cut-out center.
Long pin that tapers to a sharp point at one end and has a round disk at the other end. Cream coloured. Small hole on underside of disk in the centre.
Spoon carved from one piece of wood with a shallow bowl that has a pointed tip, a handle with a roughly circular tip, and designs in poker work featuring bands on the handle where it meets the bowl and a triangular shape at the bowl tip as well as two lines that border the bowl rim.
Kambei figure. Standing female, nude, with elaborate coiffure. Closed oval eyes, nose, small mouth, ears, and four vertically grooved scarification marks on each cheek. More scarification marks on the upper chest, upper arms, and stomach. Figure is carved with a large neck ring. Her arms are resting at her sides with the elbows bent so that the hands are joined under her belly. The legs attach to a circular base.
Carved brown headdress with an antelope form; varnished; elongated head, highly developed neck design; under-emphasized body and legs.
A wood staff with a double paddle shape and dark brown colour. Each "paddle" shape is pierced with an hourglass shape near the middle of each "paddle" and with two side-by-side rectangular shapes near the rounded part. Incised geometric line patterns on solid parts of each "paddle".
A long wood piece carved with three kneeling figures on top of each other and crowned with a cone. There is a clapper in the hollowed out bottom.
Door panel made from one piece of wood carved with highly stylized birds, crocodiles, antelope and snakes arranged above and below a crocodile figure at the centre. A cylindrical element protrudes both at the top and bottom on one side. The wood has been coated with a wax-like substance to create a dark brown finish.
