Down the length, the centre blue panel has repeating horizontal bands of designs in purple. At the opposite end, the purple designs change to a double-sided antler design. The sides are bordered by wide bands of cyan flowers outlined in purple on a grey background. Small cloth store label attached from Aarong Bangladesh. The short ends are finished with folded and sewn edges.

Long, rectangular textile with stylized flowers and geometric design in black on a cream background. There is a black geometric border that runs along the top and bottom with two stripes on either side. There are two differing, floral patterns in between each line of border. The centre has a black lozenge pattern. The ends are raw.

Man or woman’s rectangular, block-printed shawl, with black geometric patterns on an off-white background. Borders at each end contain circular and striped geometric motifs. A centre rectangular panel contains repeated diamond-shaped, stylized floral patterns. Several border patterns frame the central panel on the sides. Strips of black cotton textile (4.3 cm wide) are hand-sewn at each end.

Man’s wedding shawl. Made of red and black block-printed cotton textile, heavily embroidered on all four corners with multi-coloured floral designs, abstract representations of peacocks, geometric patterns, mirrors, rickrack and beaded tassels. The designs on the four corners are worked in silk thread and are almost identical to each other, differing only in minor details and colours. Embroidered yellow stripes extend vertically and horizontally across the shawl and intersect at the centre with an embroidered diamond shaped medallion. The block printed designs on the textile form striped borders at each edge, and there is a central rectangle which contains stylized floral patterns arranged in diamond-shaped frames. The block-printed textile is pieced along one long edge (machine stitched) prior to embroidering. The back has a strip of black cotton fabric hand-sewn to each end.

Sections woven with wool or goat hair yarns alternate with sections woven with cotton yarns. Long black fringes at each end are made by tightly twisting the warp yarns.

Block printed cotton textile, printed on both sides. Blue and red are the predominant colours. Two identical, large, rectangular panels of geometric patterning are printed on the textile. In each panel, geometric and floral designs are grouped in intersecting horizontal and vertical borders that surround, on three sides, a large central rectangle of stylized floral and geometric patterns. A strip of black cotton textile (3.5 cm wide) is sewn to one end of the textile.

Five (parts a-e) rectangular sheets of paper, coloured red on right side. Glued near centre of each sheet, on longitudinal axis, is a rectangular piece of gold coloured metal foil, printed with the image of a god in red and green, with two Chinese characters in gold on red squares above his head. The area below has been cut in a set of rough geometric designs.
