Tall square sided bentwood box with lid (part b). The same Northwest Coast stylized designs are painted on the front and back in black and red. Rectangular box has steam bent sides. Last corner held together with wooden pegs. Sides are undecorated. The lid is slightly flared and unpainted.
Bentwood box (part a) and lid (part b) with one side pf lid raised. Box has abstract Northwest Coast design elements painted on all sides, in red and black. Cedar bark rope is tied around the box. Killer whale and sisiutl-like designs in black on the top of lid and the raised portion.
A double-sided metal piece shaped like an hourglass, however, with a longer cylindrical stem in between. The ends are slightly rounded. Black with dark pink-red nail polish designs consisting of zig zag lines, lines, and dots.
Bentwood box base (a) and woven basketry lid (b). The base has a design on two of the wider sides of a band of incised diagonal lines along the sides and top. There are two holes in each narrow side. The lid is made of strips of cedar bark in a warp and weft weave with a wide lip. The edges of the lid are upturned and stitched down with thin strips of cedar bark.
Birch bark body of basket bent and laced into place with birch twig stitched border around the rim. Overcast with natural, pink, purple aniline dyed root. Zig-zag stitch for joining creates a portion of the design. The overcast stitch is zig-zagged. The dyed root occurs at the ends with bands of natural root on the sides. Darker side of the bark is on the outside.
A square wooden box (part a) with lid (part b). The sides of the box are bent to form a square, sewn together at one corner and nailed to a flat wooden base. There is an animal head design carved on all sides. The lid is uncarved, nailed together and fits over the sides of the box.
Bentwood box with straight sides, steamed, bent, corners cut-out, last corner pegged and sewn (with spruce root), bottom pegged on. Undecorated; no lid.
Rectangular shaped knife made from a thin piece of iron. One edge is sharpened to form the blade; opposite edge is bent slightly. The underside is concaved.
L-shaped knife made from a thin piece of iron. One edge been straightened and sharpened to form blade. Remaining edges bent around to facilitate a grip.
Cedar bentwood box (part a) with a lid (part b). All four sides made from a single cedar board, steamed and bent into three right angle corners. The open seam is nailed together. Straight sides, fluted on ends and one side. A separate cedar board is nailed on to make a bottom. Lid is constructed of a cedar board with one side of having an upturned flaring edge.
