The doll (part a) has black thread hair tied in a bun at the top back of her head and is decorated with orange and pink, white, and blue, and yellow flowers with silvery metal dangling strips. She is wearing a red kimono-like dress embroidered with a gold floral pattern. Her obi belt which extends up the back and flows down has a black and red geometric design outlined with silver. She is wearing geta footwear designed wih red and gold flowers on a black background. She is standing on a flat rectangular wood base. The parasol (part b) is pink with white flowers and green and yellow leaves as the design.

Large, brown wooden bowl supported by six short legs. Two large white shells are affixed to one side of the bowl; between the two shells a long braided fibre rope is attached, the end of which is tied to a third white shell.
