Children's drawing on legal size off-white paper. A wide blue and yellow band, representing a river, divides the page horizontally. The top half of the composition contains a multicoloured potted plant and a blue, orange and black object that resembles a pot or receptacle. Below these objects are four human figures standing on the edge of the river. The figure on the far left is holding a small doll or baby that is red in colour. To the right of these four human figures are the words "rio Lempa". There is one red human figure in the river itself, and the bottom of the composition contains a partially erased triangular object.

There is a multicoloured object in the middle of the composition that may represent a body of water. There are undulating lines and human figures within this multicoloured object. The bottom half of the composition contains two human figures shooting guns at smaller human figures. Each figure is shooting a group of three smaller figures. Between the two figures with guns is a blue and green human figure holding an orange baby or doll.

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying the inscription "The soldiers came and killed our families in El Salvador". On the front, an inscription in orange and green crayon reads "martes 1 Febroro de 1983" at the top of the page. To the lower left of this inscription is another in blue ink which reads "Marina Otero 4 - anos". Across from this inscription is a large drawing of a green flower. Below this is a scene containing an orange and yellow church with a pink cross and two doorways. There is a human figure in each doorway, and a large yellow flower on each side of the church. A beige helicopter and beige female figure have been drawn on the right side of the church. A purple path leads away to the lower left of the church, and there is a purple human figure lying in the middle of the path. The bottom third of the drawing contains a plane, a large flowering plant, a female figure, and a rectangle with two vegetables inside of it. A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads the same as the inscription on the back "The soldiers came and killed our families in El Salvador".

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying an inscription in Spanish "Cuando mataron a mi familia los soldados Hondurenos y los Salvadorenos desde entonces mi sufrimientos por ser guerfano. Por eso denuncio a los demas pueblos del mundo. Que se sola risen con nosotros los refujia dos Salvadorenos. Mi nombre es Carlos". On the front, a blue undulating band crosses the page horizontally, representing a river. The rest of the composition consists of small green hills and human figures in brown and turquoise. There are four brown figures below the river. There are two brown figures and four turquoise figures above the river. All of the turquoise figures are carrying guns and likely represent soldiers. At the top of the composition, an inscription in pink ink reads "masacre en el rio lempa del Salvador en el ano 1981 - cuando mat". A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads "My father was killed by the Honduran and Salvadorean soldiers, that"s [sic] why I am suffering because I am an orphan now. So I call for people of the world to bring solidarity to us the Salvadorean refugees - My name is Carlos". This is a translation of the ink inscription on white paper that has been affixed to the back of the blue paper.

The reverse contains an inscription on white paper which has also been mounted to the blue paper and laminated. This inscription reads "muy contentos trabajabamos en el salvador antes ahora se nos toca andar huyendo y estamos refugiados". The top of the image contains a multicoloured house with a plant or flower on top of it. A blue-purple path leads away from the house, to the right, and a human figure is on this path near the house. Below the house is a green and red helicopter. A human figure, a blue and green flower, and two animals have been drawn in the middle of the composition. The bottom contains six green and blue plants. The words "Inocetem Lia" have been written in the upper right, and a narrow strip of word-processed text that has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, reads "We used to work in El Salvador before. Now we have to go running away and we are refugees."

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. The top of the composition contains two covered structures, one is pink with a black roof and the other is yellow and green with a brown and blue roof. Below these structures is a scene involving a female figure in a blue dress feeding four yellow hens. One of the hens is much larger than the others. Below this scene, an inscription in black ink reads "Cuando mi madre cuidaba sas gallinas en el Salvador poreso lo Recuerdo - mi nombre es Alejandrina Reyes mi edades Banos - mi direcsion es Campumento #6 mesa grande". An English translation of this inscription has been word processed and taped to the bottom of the laminated paper. The translation reads "When my mother used to take care of the hends in El Salvador. That is what I remember. My name is Alyandrina Reyes. My age is 13 years and my address Camp 6 Mesa Grande."

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. The composition consists of a river scene wherein two green helicopters near the top of the page are shooting at human figures as they try to cross the water. The upper left contains an inscription in black ink "Cuando los pasabamos lempa buscando Refujio en Honduras los ametrallaban unos elicoctero y los mataron familiares". The word "Elicocteros" has been written in black ink in the upper right, above the two green helicopters. A blue band crosses the page horizontally, representing the river. Numerous human figures have been drawn in pencil along the upper bank of the river. The word "gente" has been written in black ink near these figures. The river is filled with floating human figures. Below the river, the words "Rio lempa" have been written, and an inscription in the lower left-hand corner reads "este dibujo es eho por Nora Alfaro su edades de 13 anos y bibe aquiem mesa grande". A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads "When we were crossing 'the Lempa' looking for a safe place in Honduras, helicopters were shooting on us. And they killed relatives."

There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying an inscription in Spanish "Canpamento de Refujia do 11 chopo r Jr ma corina menvreno". This piece of paper on the back also contains a small image of a house. The composition on the front consists of four horizontal rows of A-frame tents, with seventeen tents in all. They are multicoloured and each one has been depicted with both ends showing.

A blue and red church with a green cross has been drawn below these human figures. There are three large flowers below the church with green leaves and stems, and they are coloured - from left to right - red, mauve, and orange. The words "Maribel Ayala" have been written in blue ink in the lower left-hand corner. A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads "The soldiers came and killed our families in El Salvador".

Children's drawing on legal size off-white paper. There are drawings on both sides of the paper. The side that displays more figures and detail contains a green horizontal band in the middle of the page, representing a river. There is a narrow path on either side of the river, lined with human figures. Above the river, on the left, is a large human figure. A helicopter has been drawn in the upper right-hand corner. The word "riol" has been written in the upper left-hand corner. A large green tree can be seen below the river, along with a plane and a long line of twenty human figures. The side that displays fewer figures and less detail contains a helicopter, ten human figures, and a sketch of a river on the left side. The words "lepa" and "rio Lempa" have been written at the top of the page.
