The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

FROM CARD: "REPRESENTS BIRD, PROBABLY RAVEN. LONG BILL. PAINTED GREEN, RED, WHITE AND BLACK. 9/1962--BILL HOLM CONSIDERED THIS TO BE NOT CHARACTERISTIC OF THE SOUTHERN GROUPS AND IF GOTTEN IN THE PLACE MENTIONED IT MUST HAVE BEEN ACQUIRED FROM THE NORTHERN GROUP (RAE)."
From card: "Carved."Columbia River/Wasco/Wishram style horn bowl.
FROM CARD: "PROBABLY OF CEDAR, 3 FEATHERED, 3 BLACK AND RED BANDS AT BASE OF FEATHERS. HEAD EXPANDED INTO A 9 SIDED, 1" W. CONE, WHICH THEN TAPERS OFF SHARPLY TO THE ACTUAL RELATIVELY SHORT POINT. THIS SPECIMEN WAS ORIGINALLY CALLED HAWAIIAN BUT APPARENTLY WITHOUT ANY DEFINITE DATA AND IT HAS NO RELATIONSHIP TO THAT AREA.- 5/1961 DR. DON MARSHALL." LEDGER BOOK MAKES IT CLEAR THAT 3 ARROWS WERE ORIGINALLY CATALOGUED AS #338761, HAWAIIAN. AS INDICATED ABOVE, ONE OF THESE ARROWS (APPEARS TO BE A BIRD ARROW?) WAS EXAMINED IN 1961 AND RECATALOGUED AS "NORTHWEST COAST OF CANADA." HOWEVER, IT APPEARS THAT THE OTHER 2 ARROWS WERE NOT EXAMINED AT THAT TIME AND THEY ARE NOT IDENTICAL TO THE ONE DESCRIBED. - F.
