Smoke Pot2716/3

Bulbous dark brown clay smoke pot with rounded bottom narrowing neck and mouth with flared lip. Two faces with protruding pointed noses and raised eyes and mouth have been carved on opposite shoulders, with swirling carved decoration in between. Numerous holes have been cut into the lower portion and a handle of wound grass loops up from large holes at the neck.

Story Board2716/2

Circular, brown with streaks of black wood story board. Depicted in 3 dimensional relief, which is carved deeply into the wood in a wheel-like lay-out with hub and surrounding frieze, is the story of head eating birds and a village's attempt to fight them with dogs, clubs and spears. A decorative border of ovals and lines encircles the top of the board; sides and back are plain.

Oval bracelet formed from a tube of metal covered with pounded brass. Opening at one side. The outer surface of the tube is decorated with incised geometric and cross-hatch patterns. Dark metal is visible at ends.

Bone Box2696/1 a-l

Manga mural using old plywood trays that have been painted and mounted as a rectangular 12-panel installation piece. The panels are installed as four vertical rows and three horizontal rows (top, left to right: parts a-d, middle parts e-h, bottom parts i-l). Each panel is installed to swivel from a vertical to horizontal position and when viewed horizontally each panel reveals a word on its top edge. When read in order the words form the sentence: "A STACK OF PLYWOOD TRAYS BUILT TO CONTAIN FRAGMENTS OF EVERYONE'S CULTURE".

Deeply carved wooden clan pole covered in various figures, animals and designs on all sides, with the creator figure Tuwatmeri at the top of both sides. The pole is round at the base; slightly flat and rectangular at the top. The eyes of the figures are inlaid with shell. Artist's inscription around pole near base on one side.

Tall, thin painted carving of Fisherwoman. Featured are a bird, a woman, a fish, and a second human face. The woman stands, with the bird's feet on her shoulders. The tail of the fish is in the bird's mouth and it bends down to touch the woman's head with it's mouth. The second face is at the base of the figure facing backward.
