Bamboo spoon with thin slanted handle and deep bowl. End of handle is bent, extending straight out and attaching to bowl; bowl tilted at same angle as handle. Bowl is cylindrical and its opening is cut diagonally; minor lip along edge closest to handle.

Scales Box3559/14 a-b

Thin, irregularly-shaped black wooden box (part a) for metal scales (part b); hinged lid slides open from right side, secured with a metal band on left end. Lid has elephant motif carved in relief across entire surface. Design consists of two elephants, standing on rounded platforms, facing one another; fronts of elephants are bordered with curved lines, decorated with a leaf-like motif. Main body of box is undecorated. The metal scales rest inside the box; walls carved to fit scales. Scales consist of a metal beam and two circular pans, attached on either end with three pieces of thread each; beam has shears and pointer protruding from the top centre edge. Tips of beam are pointed and decorated with incised diagonal lines; "X"'s and diagonal lines decorate sides of shears. Pointer and pans are undecorated.

Earrings3559/43 a-b

Pair of small silver hook-style earrings with feather charms hanging from bottom edge. Main bodies of earrings are cone-shaped with circles on the tips; bottom edges are also decorated with two rows of circles. Sides of cones are made up of tight rings; backs of earrings are gently curved and covered with incised decorations. Patterns are of diamonds and arches, filled with curved and diagonal lines; swirls along outer edges. Feather charms have a raised border on front, backs are undecorated.

Earrings3559/41 a-b

Pair of large hoop earrings with diamond-like charms hanging from the entire bottom edge of each hoop. Outer edges of hoops have flat diamonds and circles secured to them; diamonds are undecorated, circles have raised floral and dot motifs across their surfaces. Bottom edge of hoop is covered by a thick panel that wraps around the entire edge; front side of panel has dots and curvilinear motifs engraved across it, other sides are undecorated. All of the diamond-like charms hang from the bottom edges of the panels; they have tiered bottoms and a glass bead decoration above them. The beads alternate between green and red.

Belt3559/40

Scaled silver-coloured metal belt with a hook clasp. Scale decorations are done in columns, with three scales per column; designs on scales alternate between fruit and floral motifs. All designs are raised; top and bottom edges of columns are bordered with rows of dots. Either end of the belt has a large irregularly-shaped buckle with a mix of engraved and raised decoration. Engravings are curvilinear and floral designs; raised decorations are floral motifs. Interior of belt is lined with black velvet-like fabric.

Belt3559/39

Braided silver belt with an irregularly-shaped buckle and hook clasp. Oval-shaped clips are spread along length, holding the braids together; decorated with raised flower and leaf designs. Centres of flowers closest to hooked end have been cut out, to function as belt holes. Buckle has intricately carved serpent-like creature and curvilinear motifs across surface; edges are raised and have vertical lines engraved throughout.

Betel Nut Box3559/33

Four-legged wooden betel nut box, with divided tray sections; walls of tray curve towards the centre. Top edges of box are lined with thin pieces of wood; secured with nails. Outer sides of box are covered in raised carvings. Designs on sides of tray are diamonds with Greek key motif, inside of large rectangles. Edges of rectangles are decorated with triangles. Sides, diamonds and triangles are painted black; red and yellow diagonal lines throughout diamonds. Legs are decorated with squares, filled with diagonal lines and triangles in various patterns; done in red, yellow and black. All designs are done in relief and the squares are outlined with black triangles. Decorative carvings extend downward from in between each leg; designs consist of scallops, circular cutouts and triangular outlines. Interior sides of box are undecorated.

Xylophone3559/31 a-d

Wooden xylophone instrument with two playing sticks (parts c-d); made up of a frame (part a) with the row of bars (part b) hanging by a red cord that loops over two hooks at each end. Frame is cradle-shaped with irregular oval-shaped panels on either side; cradle is attached to a square, tiered pedestal. Floral motifs carved in relief along exterior sides of cradle and front and back of panels. Bars are undecorated. Playing sticks are made up of squat circular tips and long thin handles.

Water Dipper3559/27

Water dipper with a flat-bottomed aluminum bowl and plain wooden handle; handle is secured to back of bowl with nails and a piece of plastic(?). Exterior of bowl decorated with raised designs; top and bottom edges have braided lines, main body is decorated with repeating floral motif. Space between braids and flowers is filled with small impressed triangles; curvilinear and triangle motifs throughout. Manufacturer's mark engraved on base of bowl.

Water Dipper3559/26

Water dipper with a coconut shell bowl and carved wooden handle. Tip of handle is drilled into back of bowl, extending towards centre; secured with a rod that curves along interior of wall. Tip is decorative and consists of two triangles framing a thin spire. Deep grooves carved around middle of spire; semi-circle designs across triangles. Long handle has straight sides and bottom; top has multiple curves with grooves notched across length.
