AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Date Range: 1901 to 1920 Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Decoration: Embossed Comments: Embossed with "viii" One clear glass medical bottle with bead finish. Base is similar to plain oval and monarch or erie oval bases with three curved sides and one straight side connected with rounded corners. Mold seams include: circular cup-bottom mold seam, two side mold seams extending up to within approximately 1" of the finish. Embossing on top of one side reads: "3viii". Maker's Mark on base reads: "M.B.W. CO". Made by Western Bottle Manufacturing Company in Chicago, IL. Dried sediment present on the inside of bottle. Iridescence and pen mark on the outside of bottle. There are a few bubbles present in the glass. J. Dougherty 03/19/2010

AMEC Analysis: Comments: This artifact is a small leather strap with a corroded metal buckle. The strap is 18 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. One leather strap with metal buckle secured to strap near one end. Leather is brittle and metal is corroded. J. Dougherty 12/22/2009

Stamped decoration includes scalloped red and green floral pattern. Gilt hand painted on rim. Maker's Mark: ENGLAND W.H. GRINDLEY & CO. Crazing and brown discoloration that has penetrated glaze on interior and exterior. J. Dougherty 12/03/2009

One clear glazed porcelain tea cup fragment. Gilding on handle and just below rim on exterior of cup. Maker's Mark: M.Z. AUSTRIA Beginning portion of "AUSTRIA" is missing, though Maker's Mark is still identifiable. Small crack on body near handle. Brown discolorations near handle. J. Dougherty 12/09/2009

Two clear glazed earthenware platter fragments that cross mend. Smaller fragment labeled 45KI765/P9-67a, larger fragment labeled 45KI765/P9-67b. Maker's Mark: O&E.G. ROYAL AUSTRIA Maker's Mark indicates this was made by Oscar and Edgar Gutherz in Alt-Kohlaw, Austria. Brown and orange discoloration on top and bottom surfaces. J.
