Upper half of basket is fully imbricated with the design in black bark of mirror image geometric scroll shapes on each side. Bottom half of basket has imbricated "flying goose" design, alternating in rows of red and black bark with grass in between.

Wooden model river canoe. The canoe is carved from a brown wood and unpainted. The bow and stern are identical. The underside of the canoe slopes to reach a gentle point.

Long shallow model canoe. The canoe is carved from a reddish-brown wood and the exterior has been lacquered. A hole has been drilled through the bow and the stern. The bow and stern are identical.

The weft of the checker work (excluding base) is black cedar bark. Braided rim. In the plaited areas the weft strand is dyed black, giving an alternating pattern of dyed and natural coloured stitches in a 1:1 ratio.

Rectangular basket with simple interlocking coiled work, bifurcated stitches, parallel slat lid and base construction with graduated reinforcement stitches and 'twilled' effect on lid. Basket also has a two coiled handles and is decorated with beading. The lid has beading in black-dyed cherry bark in a 2:1 ratio along the circumference of the lid. The body has cat-tail grass at the top (one row per slat, in a 2:2 ratio). Three other slats have beaded decoration (3 rows per slat) in black and in red cherry bark in a 2:2 ratio creating a checkerboard pattern. Lid is attached to basket with thong hinges.
