Last scene is of emperor and courtiers in a landscape setting. The whole vase is decorated with designs of cicadae key designs, scrolls and arabesques. All in relief on red lacquer. Vase rests on circular wooden stand with five feet (b).

Rectangular stone panel framed by a dark brown carved stand with two bracketed feet. Stone panel with carving of birds and bamboo in very dull olive on dull brown surface; all in relief. Frame is elaborately carved with bats, spirals, and one of the eight precious symbols of Buddha.
