Man’s short multicoloured ceremonial jacket constructed from a patchwork of colourful brocade textiles and trimmed at collar and cuffs with velvet. The jacket is voluminous, with very long sleeves; a T-shaped garment with centre front opening, without closures or fasteners. The front opening is finished with a very wide border (approximately 23.5 cm), which extends to the back of the jacket to form a high collar at centre back. This border consists of four different bands: a 2.7 cm wide band of striped, multicoloured embroidery; a 10 cm wide band of red silk brocade embellished with gold metallic figures of cranes and Chinese(?) characters; a 5.6 cm wide band of finely embroidered blue, green, red, pink and white stitchery in a T-shaped repeated motif; and a 5.1 cm wide band of black cotton velvet textile. The same multicoloured embroidery and black velvet is used to finish the cuffs. The jacket is lined with blue and red light weight silk brocade.

The vest fastens with gilt metal ball-shaped buttons, one at the neck at centre front; the left side of the vest front extends to completely overlap the right side, and there are buttons and loops at the right upper chest, under the right armhole and halfway down the right side seam. The brown silk brocade textile has a satiny sheen, and there are large (12 cm) brown, floral roundels in a contrasting pile weave, regularly spaced over the surface. A small patch pocket made of silk brocade that matches the vest in colour but not in design is located at chest level on the right side of the vest front, concealed underneath the front closure. The vest is lined in lightweight green silk brocade. There are 9 cm slits in the side seams at the hemline.
Multicoloured wool blanket, constructed from five narrow (about 21 cm) strips of equal length, aligned side by side, and sewn together edge to edge. Each of these strips is woven in a repeated pattern of narrow horizontal stripes, of black, red and two shades of blue, alternating with wider stripes of off-white and orange-yellow. On the right side of the blanket, the off-white and orange-yellow stripes are over-printed with repeated cross-shaped (+-shaped) motifs in red and dark blue. When sewing the strips together, no attempt was made to align the patterns, resulting in a random design. The reverse side is the same but without the cross motifs. The blanket is bordered on three sides with narrow (9 and 18 cm) strips of multicoloured striped wool textile. The ends are faced and bound with red cotton velveteen, printed with floral motifs in black. On the reverse side of the blanket, a 1 cm wide band of black fabric that has been printed with small white and green motifs is sewn where the border and the main body of the blanket meet.
