One aqua glass mineral bottle that has been flattened and distorted. Maker's Mark (incomplete): ZAREMBI MINER SPRING SO SEAT L WA Probably made by Zarembo Mineral Co, Seattle. Bottles shape has been deformed. Exterior surface glass is covered with dried residue creating matte appearance. Red and pink accretions present on one side of exterior. One aqua glass mineral water bottle with round base and crown finish. Mold seams include: circular horizontal cup-bottom mold seam and two vertical side mold seams extending up to bottom of finish. Mold seams include: circular post-bottom seam with two vertical side seams extending up to within 1/2" of bottom of finish. Faceting on shoulder of bottle. Maker's Mark empressed just above heel of bottle: SEATTLE JUANITA 8 - S A B Co Made by American Bottle Company, at the Streator IL plant. Dates are from plant's opening, closing (http://www.myinsulators.com/glass-factories/bottlemarks3.html). Bubbles present in glass. Glass stones in body of bottle. Soda Bottle, Glass45KI765/M-38

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Years (min): 1850 Years (max): 1920 Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Manufacture Method: Hand-made Post Bottom Comments: The neck and finish are broken, but the height is approximately 9 inches. Four fragments of a round aqua glass soda bottle with crown finish. Neck and two smaller pieces separate from main body. Seams indicate cup-bottom manufacture. Largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-38a, second largest labeled 45KI765/M-38b, third largest labeled 45KI765/M-38c, smallest labeled 45KI765/M-38d. Maker's Mark embossed on front: GREEN LAKE SODAWORKS GREEN LAKE WASHINGTON And on base: 347 H Object is fragmented leaving jagged, fragile edges. In main body fragment cracks emanate from an impact point below the shoulder with two cracks extending over "GREEN LAKE" and a third extending down the undecorated back side of bottle. Cracks are approximately 1.5". L. Penttila 3/15/2010

The base is turned in a mold and the neck and finish are free-blown. One green glass beverage bottle with rounded bottom base that does not sit flat. Packer finish. Five fragments of a clear glass medical bottle with round base profile and large-mouth external thread finish. Largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-33a, with smaller fragments labeled alphabetially b-e in order of largest to smallest. Empressed Maker's Mark: VASELINE CHESEEBROUGH NEW YORK Dark brown accretions on exterior. L. Penttila 3/15/2010 Objects delivered to Burke Museum partially intact with clear adhesive tape holding them together. The tape was removed by Julie Dougherty, Burke Museum on 08/17/2010 to prevent further damage.
