Small ceramic dish, cup shaped, with a wide, open mouth narrowing to a rounded bottom. The exterior body is painted orange with six darker orange stripes meeting at the bottom. The interior is also orange, with the darker orange encircling the rim and lines crossing through the centre. The pot rests on three conical legs with pointed shoulders. One of the legs has broken off at the tip and been reattached.

Small ceramic pot, wide at the shoulder and narrowing toward a rounded bottom. The shoulder is decorated with many small protruding round dots, somewhat evenly spaced. Remnants of dark red pigment can be seen in the spaces between them. The pot has no neck, with the shoulder curving into a large mouth with a thick rim. The interior of the pot is smooth.

Wind Musical Instrument2847/112

Clay ocarina in the shape of an animal, possibly a ram. The instrument has a round body standing on four widely spaced conical legs and a thick, upcurving tail. The head and face are well defined, with a round snout and open mouth, round incised eyes, and protrusions on the head possibly representing horns. Two small holes are bored into the ocarina, one through the neck, and one into the hollow body, just below the tail.

Small clay figure, seated, short legs spread wide. The head is triangular, pointed at front, and painted with a red slash to either side for a mouth, black ‘v’ shapes for eyes, and brown and black stripes across top and back. The torso is decorated with two black dots at the chest and a square with dots on the stomach. The single arm curves down from shoulder to rest on thigh and is painted with black stripes. The other arm is missing. The bottom rear of the figure is decorated with a painted design of black dots and lines. Two holes are bored into the figure’s bottom.

Small clay pot with three legs. Pot has a wide mouth, with the neck flaring out below to a sharp shoulder that recedes to a rounded bottom. The neck is decorated with a series of incised lines and triangles in a semi-regular pattern. At the front, just below the rim is a small animal head, perhaps of a turtle, with large indented eys and a sharp snout. The legs of the pot and conical, with the points to the bottom.

Small clay dish with three legs. Dish has a wide mouth, slightly flared at the rim, with straight walls that recede to a sharp edge, at which point the pot recedes further to a rounded bottom. The three legs are conical, each with a prominent pointed shoulder. An animal head sits at the shoulders, with protruding snouts and indented eyes. Legs are hollow, with a hole in the back of each. A slight rattle emanates from the legs when the dish is moved.

Terracotta tripod dish with a slightly flared rim and concave outer sides on a relatively deep, flat-bottomed body. The exterior of the dish is painted with a series of black lines and light brown and orange blocks of colour. The bottom is not painted. On the inside wall are interspersing red and light brown designs as well as encircling lines of colour. The interior bottom is painted with lines and curls surrounding a central light coloured figure. The dish has three large legs in the shape of human-like faces. The eyes, brows, and nose protrude and are emphasized with black paint. The ears also protrude. The mouths are at the bottom, open, and with the chin supporting the weight of the pot. Each leg is hollow and contains a clay rattle-ball.

Vessel2847/100 a-b

Linea Vieja style terracotta tripod vessel. The small central pot has a flaring rim on a straight short neck, a pronounced shoulder and an elongated, rounded body with a curved bottom. The pot is suspended between three long, thick, hollow legs, conical in shape with curved bottom tips. Inside the legs are two or three small clay balls that rattle when the vessel is moved. At the shoulder of each leg sits a vulture, wings drawn in, necks curved so heads droop. Below the heads are small animal faces with indented eyes and open mouths. The vultures have long legs with prominent knees and incised toes.

Wind Musical Instrument2847/132

Clay ocarina. The body is bulbous and squat with a long mouthpiece extending to the front with a windway that opens on a windcutter bored into the body on the underside. Four pitch holes are bored into the top in an evenly spaced square, surrounded by incised dot and line decoration. Behind is a protruding nub with a necklace hole. A ridge circles the back of the body at the midpoint, decorated with incised lines. On the bottom of the instrument is a slightly protruding face with vertical slits for eyes, a large round nose with prominent nostrils and a thick lipped mouth.

Wind Musical Instrument2847/129

Clay ocarina in the shape of an animal head(?). Ocarina is rounded with a short snout, blunt at one end, and has a large hole on the underside that opens into the hollow centre of the object. The top of the head has two curved projections and beneath the right-most a small pitch hole has been bored. To each side are small outcroppings with evidence of missing material. A pitch hole with a slight rim is bored into the back of the head. The bottom of the ocarina is flat.
