Pot2847/78

Small ceramic pot has a flaring rim and a recessed neck, where it flares out to the midway point of the body, then recedes at a sharp angle to a rounded bottom. The pot is marked on the shoulder and body with several unevenly spaced dark lines that could be drips, three of which end at the pot’s bottom point. A small chip has been taken out of the rim.

Dish2847/76

Round ceramic dish with a wide mouth and a rounded bottom. The interior of the dish is covered with orange powdery pigment and the bottom is painted a darker orange. The three legs are in the form of animal heads, with the nose at bottom. Large round eyes top a long, wide snout and fingers protrude to either side of the head.

Round ceramic pot. A wide mouth is surrounded by a flaring rim that narrows to a straight sided body and a rounded bottom. The pot sits on three curved, conical legs. Construction lines are visible in the clay, especially around the base of the legs. The pot is otherwise undecorated.

Pendant2847/187

Stone pendant, shaped in a rough half circle with a short projection at one end. The upper body of the pendant has a small hole bored through, below which are deeply carved channels on each side. The body widens to a rectangular base, on which are carved lines in a ‘v’ shape as well as another deep channel. Pendant surface is shiny. May have been part of a larger object.

Pendant2847/181

Stone pendant. Object is oblong with a wide base sharpened into a blade, and narrowing toward the top where four finger-like projections are carved. On the front of the piece several carved horizontal lines and an outline of a diamond shape. There are also two small holes bored through the stone close to the edge on each side. On the back of the pendant is a long diagonal ridge. In profile the pendant is thin and slightly concave on the ventral aspect.

Stone adze. Object is oblong, with one end slightly wider than the other. In profile, it is thin and somewhat convex on top and bottom, with rather thick and well defined sides. The body has been processed to a smooth finish and narrows at the wide end into a sharp, rounded blade.

Stone point or blade. The object’s body is long and rounded on both planes in profile. The anterior end is wide and shaped into a smooth and well-rounded curve. The body narrows, thickens and roughens toward a posterior point where flakes have been removed along the edges on both sides. Rust coloured staining can be seen on both sides of the body near the point.

Axe Head2847/169

Stone axe head. The body is long and relatively narrow, rounded but somewhat squat in profile. The posterior end is shaped into a blunt point, while the anterior is wider and is carved into a thick blade. The stone darkens slightly in colour toward the blade.

Serrated stone blade(?). The object is a flat, thin piece of stone, with a large ‘u’ shaped cut-out at top, and a smaller one at bottom. Both sides of the blade are slightly curved outward, with many pointed projections carved into each with flakes removed on both sides to sharpen.
