The folded opera hat or lotus seed servant's hat is blue and narrow with a red fabric ball on top. The base is rectangular and edged in black. The sides slope inwards to a point with the red ball on top. The sides of the hat each fold inward twice. The inside of the hat is white and stiffened with cardboard. Two wide, white ties are attached.

The folded hat is purple and square with two ties. The hat is folded inwards once on the sides. There is a black edging around the bottom of the hat. The inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

Unbleached cotton bag. Top has cuff with string running through. Characters on side in blue ink. Colour: off-white.

Piece of red cotton cloth, intact at the top with the remaining fabric torn into ten strips.

Rectangular piece of red cotton cloth. Two finished edges, one frayed edge and one hemmed edge with white thread.

Wood stick with one pointed tip. Painted with a yellow band running lengthwise, as well as a red butt end and tip.

Blue and black belt with brass hook and bar fasteners. On the front are horizontal stripes; two blue and one black. The belt is stiffened with cardboard and lined with white cotton.

Pale peach handkerchief with white lace around the edges. The peach centre is silk georgette. The net lace is cotton and machine made.

Single multicoloured shoe. Sole: straw covered with cotton. Square wooden heel. Uppers: purple damask and orange damask, with a butterfly embroidered on the toe. Ribbon border sewn around toe; ribbon is white with green and red floral embroidery. Red binding. At heel, a black cotton cuff extends up the back of the ankle with a red ribbon on either side securing it to the uppers. White cotton lining with a printed red cherry pattern.
