Four bent twigs assigned by the Burke Museum 45KT20/227.2. One twig has a burnt end. The twigs were found with frayed cedar, labeled 45KT20/227.1 along with 2 previously attached tags labeled "227 / 4S3-1" and "(D.)" on the back of one. Field Catalog Form indicates the provenience as: Unit 4S3, Level 1, Description "Flayed [sic] cedar; 5 pieces constricted twigs; one (Note: Only four twigs and the frayed cedar have been located. No charred wood, bone or single reed. Burke staff is unsure what "QS" describes. I. Ostericher 04/05/2011)

Wooden tool found with tag 45-KI-8/50. Artifact was found with other artifacts from 45KT20. Tag does not correspond with the object description in Field Catalog Form. Artifact is pictured in Swanson 1962 Figure 30i and described as, "cedar awl, lower remains". Artifact is described further in Swanson 1962 on page 58, A. Shelter 8B: The Lower Remains #4: "Cedar awl, tapered at one end, flat with rounded edges at the other end. It shows evidence of exposure to fire. Length 2.20 in.; width, .71 in.; thickness, .12in. Bag of six pieces of charcoal C-14 sample. This unnumbered bag of charcoal was found loose in a box, along with other artifacts from 45KT20. Tag says "C-14, Sample No. 4, 45-KI-8, 4-2". Braided mammal hair with wood. This was found loose in a box, along with other artifacts from 45KT20. There are five braids of dark brown hair and five pieces of wood, along with a piece of hide. Some of the hair is wound around the wood. Tag in box reads "From plastic bag with tag Misc. box #40 Prob KT20". This corresponds with Greengo 4E24 #40, which states, "bones and animal hair(?) that has been braided." Perhaps someone mixed up bone and wood. Jeff Bradley (collections manager of Mammology at the Burke) believes the hair may be human, horse or buffalo, with a lesser possibility that it is bear. The hair resembles hair in 45KT20/31. No mention in Field Catalog Form, Artifact Record Notebooks or Swanson 1962. It has been assigned cat. #45KT20/1966-95/19 by the Burke. K. Kidwell, 03/08/2011
Basketry fragment; partially unravelled. Found with objects from 45KT20. No conclusive description found in Artifact record. Pictured in Swanson 1962, Figure 31; descripton reads, "Fragments of soft twined bags of Apocynum, from the upper remains, Shelter 8B." Described in Swanson page 58, B. Shelter 8B: The Upper Remains #9:" Twelve pieces of soft twined bags, each possibly representing a different bag. Figure 31. See also Appendix D. Warp and Weft of Apocynum; all have weft pitched up to the left...All specimens are weft face...The continuity of weft elements is obtained by laying the end of the terminating cord element under the end of the new one without knotting, twisting, or splicing."
