Stone mortar. Decorated with geometric lines (chevrons) along outside rim of mortar.* Located in Anthropology Teaching Collection, Denny Hall, by Larkin Hood during inventory of Teaching supplies. On 10/13/98, Ms. Hood returned this mortar to the Burke Museum. The mortar appears to have been used for UW teaching purposes, as evidenced by corn residue lodged into the crevices in the bowl of the mortar.
