Miniature cabinet and trunks. Gold floral pattern on black background. Cabinet (part a) has four removable drawers (parts b-e) inside which have an x-pattern. It sits on a flat, wooden, red fabric-covered base (part f). One trunk (part g) is rectangular and has a lid (part h). It sits on a red fabric-covered wooden base (part i). Two square trunks are on a board together (part j).

Tea chest (part a) with kettle (parts d-g) and covers (parts b and c). Tea chest (part a) has gold circular design on dark wood with metal bound edge, and a drawer (part h) and two covers (parts b and c). Nickel-covered tea kettle (part d) has two sub-parts (parts e and f) and a lid (part g) with a floral design.

Seated male figure (part a) dressed in imperial costume, representing the Japanese emperor, with a lacquered headdress above his hair. His robe is predominantly purple (now faded), with red, gold and white. Platform (part b) is wood, in the shape of a book, covered in green cloth with dark orange and white binding.

Battledore paddle with a black handle. One side depicts two warriors in battle with one above, and behind the other. The back warrior has an orange armour with a wild cat fur tail, and one arm extending around above the head. The forward warrior has a purple armour with both hands in front of him. The other side has a painting of a hawk and a pine on the back with red and white blossoms.

Center circular panel of bowl has three cranes in water an flowers. Smaller panels on the side are lobed and have human figures and landscape designs. Floral and arabesque designs decorated the whole of the bowl. All in polychrome on a green ground. Wooden stand.
