The entire shaft is covered with a woven black and yellow sleeve with a horizontal zig zag pattern around a central diamond-shaped pattern. Bright red and yellow plant fibre coiling are at either ends of and interspersed throughout the grass sleeves. The dark brown wood shaft is plain and tapers at the end.
