The artifact was found in the 1940's by Tom Valentine's uncle. The eyes represent a Classic Columbian River eye form with circular protruding eyes. As stated in Stone Age on the Columbia River by Emory M. Strong, "Characteristic features of this style is...the eyes are prominent and protruding, and surrounded with a bold orbital ridge (1959:page 117- 122).

Hammerstone. Locality: Fisher, Washington.* Roughly square, pecked and ground cobble with groove encircling the short axis. One face has a pecked depression in the center. Found at Fisher, Clark County, WA. *Information comes from original accession ledger.
