Neck ornament. Twined plant fibre makes up the thick rope of the necklace, culminating at bottom in a small woven crocodile head with cowrie shells for eyes and an open mouth. Bright pigment colouring in black, red and orange. It is constructed around two curved tusks that emerge from the crocodile's neck and curl down below the mouth.

Trumpet Horn3254/5

Horn (putona) made from a triton shell. There is a large circular blowhole near the apex. The shell is cradled in a woven carrying strap, which loops around the spire, and then is tied through a cut hole in the outer lip. The strap is comprised of eight finely plaited cords of coconut husk fibre, woven across with more coconut husk fibre. Three small cylindrical carved pieces of bone(?) are attached. The most intricately carved toggle (ivi po'o) is carved with tiki figures. Several bunches of hair are bound by twisted fibres to the tiki.

Ear Ornament3254/12

Ear ornament (taiana) made from boar tusk. The ornament consists of a carved spur adorned with two small human figures (tiki) - one on the end of the spur, and the other on the side of the spur. There is a small hole drilled through the spur.
