Dagger hilt, or pommel, of walrus tusk or sperm whale tooth. Main section is the shape of a bear head, with a smaller bear crouching over the top of the lower head. Inlaid abalone eyes, teeth, nostrils and ears. A human figure extends right through the large head, its legs and knees protruding from each side of the main mouth, and the soles of its feet serving as teeth for the bear.

Carving of a tree (part a) with four branches and nine leaves (five detached, parts b-f). Leaves are separate pieces that attach by being inset into holes on tree. Base of tree is inset into a small round of narwhal tusk.

Small container carved from tusk. Container is an elongated hexagon, tall, with a crenellated rim. Interior narrows toward bottom, following the line of the tusk’s pulp cavity. The front is engraved with an igloo below Inuktitut syllabics, while on the back is a stone lamp(?), also with syllabics. Both images are emphasized with black, while syllabics are in-painted with red. A channel is carved around the exterior at the bottom, to create the illusion of a base.

Walrus-shaped, almost flat but slightly concave piece of hollowed tusk. Overall the piece takes the outline of a walrus head with wide open mouth and protruding tusk, narrowing toward the rounded opposite end. Interior is concave and undecorated. Exterior is etched with a scene in which a sled pulled by 5 trotting dogs carries two people along with their packages. An igloo stands in the background to the right. The walrus’s whisker follicles and eye are also etched in. The etchings are filled with a dark paint or ink substance to make them more visible.

Carving of a man and dog, on a stand (part a). Male figure (part b) is carved of tusk and stands with arms stretched in front of him. He wears a parka and leggings decorated with black paint around hem, hood, and wrists. Boots and mittens are also black. Facing him is a large dog (part c), white but for its black nose, eyes, mouth and claws. Dog has a thick tail that curves to rest on his back. Both figures have two wooden pegs in their feet that connect them to holes in the stand, which is a long rectangle of smoothed brown stone.

Carved black stone walrus. Animal lays on belly, with front flippers supporting the raised head and neck. Face is turned to the side and has carved neck wrinkles, as well as eyes, nostrils, mouth and whisker follicles on the face. Two ivory tusks emerge from the mouth (one of which is removable--part ‘b’). Into the animal’s back is carved a shallow ashtray with four half circle hollows around the edge.

Soapstone figure of an owl. Bird stands with large clawed feet forward, wings tucked at sides with long carved feathers meeting tail. Small head is rounded with a narrow beak. Eyes are round rings of off-white material inset into the stone, with round stone pupils inside the white. Across wings, back, tail and chest are small, densely carved feathers.

Cribbage board made of tusk. Board retains the shape of the tusk, wide at one end, tapering and curving to a point at the other, with sides and top squared. A scrimshaw scene of Herschel Island appears on one side, showing a small village with wood buildings in the foreground, the masts of ships in the mid-ground, and low hills in the distance. The other side shows a hunting scene with a man hoisting a rifle to bring down a deer. Behind him are a tent, boat, dog, and fishing pole, along with rolling hills. The board’s top has a configuration of small drilled holes for the insertion of crib peg. Flowers and foliage decorate the surface, and the year "1906” is caved at centre. The tusk’s butt holds a door with two short handles, opening to reveal a carved interior chamber made for holding crib pegs. The board is held up by four short legs, two of tusk, the others of wood and rubber.

Carving of a kayak (part a) with a separate seated figure (part b), float (part c), harpoon (part d), and a kayak paddle (part e). There is thread attached to the harpoon and the float to represent a skin line. (Originally had skin lines).

Carving of two arctic hares - a mother and leveret - attached to a base. The mother (part a) is standing on her hind legs while the leveret (part b) is on all fours. Both are have a hole in their base that attaches to a peg on the rectangular base.
