Base is made from a circular birch bark panel with a white, green and pink leaf design of stitched porcupine quills in the centre and alternating white and pink quills around the rim. Two bands of coiled sweet grass with a single band of zigzagging open work between them comprise the sides; coiled sweet grass sides are all stitched with black thread.

Flat, round mat with a central, circular birch bark panel. Birch bark panel was originally embroidered with a white, four-leafed quill work pattern, from which most quills are now gone. Encircling the central panel are alternating bands--three and two, respectively--of coiled and zigzagging open work sweet grass, all stitched with black thread.

Small lidded woven basket. Basket has a whalers design including two whales and whalers in a boat. Purple band encircles bottom of basket and interrupted lines of purple and green encircle top. The lid is peaked and encircled with bands of a brown, purple and green leaf-like pattern. Dark pink from top to bottom.
