Apron3660/21

Beaded apron with wide flat rectangular panel. The panel has four main rows with repeating hourglass shapes on a white ground. Each row is separated by five alternating lines of white and dark blue beads. The top row has repeating pairs of two blue alternating with two red hourglass shapes, while the following three rows alternate one blue and one red. Hanging from the bottom edge is short beaded fringe in red, flanked by a white and black beads on either end, and one larger black bead, then small white bead at the end. Attached to each top corner is a tie. The longer tie is beaded with fringe in white with some black, and the short tie is plain.

Fabric doll representing a pregnant woman. Body and dress made of layered fabrics - light green, black, pink with blue designs, and white, red and blue striped. Most of back and sides covered in beadwork panels. Large round beads form a cross-like design on a piece of skin hanging in front of her body. She wears a beaded wool headdress. Her eyes and mouth are beaded. The body is filled with stuffing.

Doll3660/22

Tall cone-shaped female doll with plaited plant fibre wrapped around the neck, arms and body. She wears a black and red skirt with white and some red and purple beadwork along the hem as well as some multi-coloured beadwork. A flat metal hoop wraps around the waist, and a piece of skin with fur is wrapped over the back and breasts. She has hair of fine twisted plant fibre, and the face has beaded features. The body is filled with stuffing.

Sandals3660/30 a-b

Pair of leather sandals with an embroidered green pattern covering much of the foot bed. The upper part of each sandal is made mainly of brown leather, with dyed parts used for the design. The wide strap is green on top, brown underneath. The fine, detailed linear design is made by very thin strips of green leather being woven through the leather of the foot bed. Parts of the upper sandal are also dyed black, along with the edges. The sole of each sandal has a softer piece of beige cow skin attached, that still has some brown hair at the centre.

Doll3660/28

Doll with a cloth body dressed in layered fabric garments. Its disproportionately large legs are wrapped in brown fabric at the feet, followed by green fabric up to the thighs, light grey wrapping above that, and brown-red fabric around the hips and waist. The face is undecorated and dark brown, while the head is wrapped in the same brown-red fabric that extends down to the hips, with a green band at the waist. Additionally, the doll wears a yellow beaded necklace. The doll's long brown fabric arms are wrapped and extend straight out to the sides. It wears a beaded leather hat with short fringe and yellow and orange beading, and an apron with a long fringe, featuring beaded detailing in brown and vibrant blue around the waist. The fringe in the back extends beyond the doll’s length. The body is filled with stuffing.

Necklace3595/26

Beaded choker-style necklace composed of a leather cord covered in pink beads with a gold button on one end, and a fibre loop for fastening the necklace on the other. Extending down from the cord are seven beaded squares. The squares are blue, black, and white, with white beads on the side and red beads on the bottom.

Face Cover3655/2

Rectangular fabric face covering, with coins and beadwork across surface. Covering has a plain dark brown-red centre, bordered by strips of metal beadwork, and adorned with opalescent buttons stitched with pink thread. Two eye holes cut out above rectangle; fabric ridge sewn down middle of covering, imitating a nose. Ridge has coins attached along the top edge, and plastic beads and buttons along the sides. The largest coin is a worn Victoria Empress - One Rupee India 1901. Three long tassels are attached to the top corner of both sides, and three short tassels hang from the bottom edge. The tassels alternate between sections of metal beading, wrapped metal fibres, and red, orange or green tassels. There are three straps attached to the back.

Coffee Pot3655/7

Coffee pot (dallah) with bulbous lower body that tapers in the middle and flares out slightly to the top. The hinged bell-shaped lid is topped with a tall finial. The curved handle is wrapped with a strip of black leather with thin sheets of metal woven in. There is a long crescent-shaped spout with a hinged metal flap that can be secured in place with a curled end. The body is engraved with two pairs of rings around the bulbous middle, and punched with repeating designs around the lid and upper portion of the pot.
