Kimono3141/6

Kuro tomesode (黒留袖) style kimono with snow on bamboo design. Made of black silk, with a pattern of bamboo leaves in light green, yellow, blue and orange, topped by snow. Some snowy areas are emphasized with thick silk and metal fibre embroidery to add texture and shine. There are 5 crests or kamon (家紋) of three leaf arrowhead within a diamond shape known as Omodaka hishi (沢瀉菱); 2 crests on the chest on front of garment and 3 at back. Kimono is open at the front, with short panels draping from the sleeves. Panels are open toward the body to show a bright red lining, with a small opening for the wrists at outside top. Interior of body is lined with off-white silk. Bottom hem is slightly padded.

Kimono3141/4

Furisode (振袖) made of silk woven in a fine horizontal pinstripe. It is dyed with images of leaves, a variety of flowers, birds, trees, and elements from a garden such as buckets and stepping stones, as well as a padded stool and fan shapes scattered across a brown surface at top that fades to light tan below midpoint. At bottom some patterned elements are outlined by sliver-leaf thread. Garment is open at the front, lapels are lined with white silk, and sleeves have long hanging panels that are open toward the body. Small openings for the wrists sit at outside top. The interior of the garment and sleeves are unlined. It has five family crests or kamon (家紋) known as kuyō (九曜), one of the crests representing stars.

Belt Hook3143/8

Bronze belt hook with silver inlay. Object is long and thin, curving slightly along its length, with a raised button set on the concave edge. The hooked end takes the shape of a dragon's head. Inlaid with scroll motifs, with several wide, encircling, silver bands.
