Carved wood drum with an hour glass shape. The sides have two bands of geometric design carved in relief. The bottom section is cut in the form of two triangles and is carved in shallow relief with a stylized design around a central head. The engravings are decorated with white pigment. There is a rectangular shaped handle on the side. Skin drum head bound with split, braided bamboo.
Red clay sherd with a dark red slip on the top; circular in shape the fragment consists of a disc shaped bottom attached to a concaved jagged edged top.
Grey clay, figure with a red slip consisting of the head of an Egyptian king wearing a large headdress and long narrow beard; facial features are incised. Style of new kingdom, remains of red ochre paint.
Wooden, carved figure in the shape of model of a mummy (ushabti) with a red, painted face and black facial features. Hieroglyphs are painted down front panel. There is a piece of paper, glued to the back of the figure with black writing that reads, ‘The Ptolemies period (Thebes)’.
Ornament consisting of a central, light brown disc with dark brown x’s surrounding and overlapping a stylized animal. Tied to the top is a looped string of grey and red seeds. Hanging from the bottom are eights strings of grey and red seeds.
Wooden, five prong comb; three of the prongs are longer. The top, handle, is rectangular in shape with a circular piece on the top middle. There are three vertical incisions. The surrounding area is decorated with an interwoven line design. Back has simple linear decoration. Front is signed ‘R. Rie’. Remnants of blue detailing.
Seal (a) and clay slab (b). The seal is composed of black stone in a cylindrical shape with images incised into the surface: a female wild boar, two goats standing on their hind legs facing each other, a bird, a small boar and trees in the background. The seal is pierced with a hole that extends from end to end. The clay slab is rectangular with a bas-relief impression of the images from the seal.
Glass vial with a tall, narrow, semi-hemispherical base and a tall, cylindrical neck. On top is a disc shaped, everted rim. The outer surface has a copper coloured shiny coating; underneath, glass is multicoloured.
