Colourful wooden mask with two long ear panels and a red crested headdress of plant fibre. The red painted face, tattooed in yellow and black, is triangular-shaped with round shell eyes placed into the hollow eye sockets. The large mouth has two boar-like teeth amongst the smaller ones. From each nostril, a ring or band connects to the spotted ears, into which are carved a crested bird (rooster?) with shell eyes, a yellow and black snake and a small red flying fish. The headdress has an interior frame of rattan onto which are tied leaves and fibres.

Colourful wooden mask with a large yellow crested headdress of plant fibre. The red and yellow tattooed face is triangular-shaped with round shell eyes placed into the hollow eye sockets, the large hollowed mouth has four curving boar-like teeth amongst the smaller ones and a tongue(?) that hangs out to touch a necklace that connects to dangling earrings. The headdress has an interior frame of rattan onto which are tied the leaves and fibres.

Basket with circular base and shape, woven in beige and brown. Designs created include diamond and triangular shapes, vertical bands of lines, small floral shapes, zigzags, and dots. The base is a thick weave in beige and, at the rim, ends are left in a fringe, except for three long braids of grass that extend up at each side and are bound together in a small tassel.

Flat rectangular-shaped woven basket or bag with long braided strap. On both flat sides, pink, turquoise, and green strands are interwoven with the natural coloured strands to create a design of two wide diagonal bands that cross at rim centre, from where nine small braids extend up into the thicker braids that are knotted at the end.

Basket or bag with square base and circular rim woven from light coloured grasses. A design of squares around the rim and diagonal bands in the body is created by weaving together four different tones of beige. A tightly braided border around the rim extends up, at each side, into five smaller braids that join together into one long thicker braid; the two braids are knotted together and left loose at the end in long tassels.

The mat is rectangular and natural coloured with two fringes. The mat is woven and the weave is curved. There is a strip of red fabric sewn to one edge of the mat. Attached to the fabric are purple dyed chicken feathers. A long fringe extends past the fabric and feathers. On the opposite edge there is a shorter, squarer fringe.

Dress MatC1025

The mat is square with rounded corners and geometric patterns. The centre is a natural coloured square surrounded by a square of brown diagonal lines. Next is a square of black squares alternating with the positive and negative images of two triangles, points touching. There is another square of brown diagonal lines. Then there is a large square of brown diamond shapes with the four corners solid brown. Finally the outside edge has a border of black designs resembling 'EIE'. Elaborate geometric designs of black and red on natural ground. Rounded corners. Tight weave.

Large figure head mounted on a wooden staff. Figure appears to have a wooden core, covered with clay and cobwebs. Vibrant blue, red and white paint cover the main surface of the face. Figure has a cone-shaped head wrapped with coir rope, protruding cylinder eyes and a long red nose. Two boar tusks curl upwards at each side of his mouth. Three vertically striped birds stick out from his forehead. Sticks with wound tufts of bushy grass fibres hang down over his ears.
