String puppet of a jester character. He wears matching red shirt and pants, both with silver fringe. The pants end at his calves with white painted stocking beneath. He wears a red two-pointed cap with a bell at the end of each point. There are also bells at the end of each sleeve and pant leg. He wears red shoes on his feet. He has carved black hair, a thin black moustache and black goatee. His eyes are large and grey, he has an upturned nose and big cheeks. The jaw is hinged and movable. String puppet of a devil character with a Baroque style head. The devil is shirtless with raccentuated ribs on the chest. Their head is bald with two red horns that curl back. The face is held in a grimace with teeth bared. They wear plaid shorts with metal shackles around the waist, arms and thighs. The waist shackle has a length of chain attached. While the overall appearance is human-like, the lower legs are goat-like with hooves. The chest and lower legs have red splotches on the skin. His hands, legs and face are carved. Underneath, she wears another long black dress with a black velvet hem. Her shoes are black, and she wears red stockings. She wears a small leather flower decoration at her neck and a black cape that hangs from her shoulders. The cape has a woven edge with embroidery along the bottom of the fabric. She has a delicate face with grey-blue eyes, and dark pink colouring which covers her eyelids and cheeks. Her hands, legs and face are carved. String puppet of the character Faust, a nobleman. He is dressed in a heavyweight tunic with long black velvet sleeves with purple and silver inserts, and leather cuffs. He wears brown velvet pantaloons with dark yellow embroidery tape down the sides and dark yellow fringe around the cuffs. The tufted bib is also of brown velvet with dark yellow embroidery tape down the centre, and he wears a floppy brown velvet hat. His boots are tall, folding over on his calves. A shiny, light purple belt is tied at his waist. He wears a lace collar at his neck, and a long mauve velvet cape hangs from his shoulders. His face is bearded with a moustache, he has chin-length hair, and his eyes are light brown. His hands, legs and face are carved. Puppet is moved by a wooden control stick, with strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.

String puppet of a devil character. He wears a wool button-up jacket with fur collar and cuffs. A red belt is tied at his waist. He wears black and off-white gingham pants that end at his calves and are edged with fur bands. His left foot wears a tall black boot and his right foot is bare, revealing an oversized human-like foot with a dark red-brown hairy leg. He has a large goat head with two red horns extending back from the top of his head and a third smaller horn extending up from the snout. The mouth is filled with teeth including large, separately carved canine teeth. The jaw and tongue are both hinged and movable. His black hair comes to three points at the forehead, and a fan extends down the centre of his head. Under his chin is a beard. His hands, legs and face are carved with his right hand posed like it should be grasping something. String puppet of an old witch character. She wears a high-collared dress of a dark black and gold shiny fabric with flecks of gold throughout. The dress is has a woven pattern of black wavy lines that run on diagonals. The dress has large fabric patches in groups of two - red, yellow and black plaid, green and another red. Her legs are bare and she wears red shoes that are both carved to appear torn open at the toe. She wears a purple cape off the shoulder that is tied in front. Her face is very angular with a pointed chin, hooked nose, and narrow eyes. Her chin and nose both have a large wart. Her eyes are made of green irises with black beads for pupils. She has carved dark brown hair as well as an attached short length of hair which extends out from under a green head scarf. The jaw is hinged and movable revealing two teeth inside her mouth. Her hands, legs and face are carved. Two wooden control sticks are attached to her back by a long metal rod, secured to each other by a leather strap, with marionette strings attached to head, shoulders, hands and knees.

String puppet of a gamekeeper character. He wears a black and white gingham button-up coat with matching belt that has a large black velvet collar with matching cuffs and hem. The coat has four shiny black buttons with thin rectangular opalescent inserts through each one. The collar and belt are held in place by a round metal honeycomb-patterned pin. He wears a white long-sleeved shirt with eyelet collar and lace cuffs that show under the coat. He wears short blue pants that end at his calves with tall black boots. The pants are cinched with red ties. His face is bearded with a moustache, he has chin-length hair, and his eyes are yellow-brown. On his head he has a light grey felt hat with brown band. String puppet of an astronomer character. He wears a white blouse with balloon sleeves that have black and white lace cuffs. Over the blouse, he wears a black and white gingham button-up vest with a light blue panel on the back, and lined with a pinstripe fabric. He wears khaki brown pants that end at his calves with brown velvet and beadwork at the hem. His tall boots fold over on his calves revealing a red lining with carved gold tassel decoration at the front. A red belt is tied at his waist. He wears a long black velvet cape that hangs from a plaited metallic cord. He has a large head with a long face. His face is bearded with a long moustache, he has chin-length hair, and his eyes are brown with dark circles around them. On his head he wears a tall conical black felt hat with triangular silver plates lining the rim, and various metal buttons (circles, stars and triangles) attached. The metal control stick is inserted through a cut in the hat. His hands, legs and face are carved with his right hand posed like it should be grasping something.
