Vertical painting of two stylized anthropomorphic figures facing the left. The figures are dark orange-red and decorated with white, green, and brown lines, dots, and shapes. The figures are separated by green concentric v-shaped lines, which extend onto the figures as thicker, rounder lines outlined in white. The bodies of the figures are outlined in multiple green zigzags and lines, with small brown drop shapes at the ends near the bottom of the figures. The back side of the cloth contains blue lines, small dots, Arabic text, and a butterfly in the centre (from a stamp or stencil?), as well as additional markings. The blue paint on the backside is partially visible on the front. The canvas is stretched on a wooden stretcher and held in place by nails. There is an ink label on the lower right side of the back of the stretcher.

These shapes are filled with repeating dots in orange, with some pink. The background is solid light orange-pink. The line down the middle, separating the two figures, is pronged on each side. A half-circular shape surrounds the lower portions of the two figures. The figure on the right side has a striped and dotted design under the lower body; the left, concentric u-shapes. The cloth is stretched on a wooden stretcher and held in place by nails. There are dark red-brown paint marks on the back. There is a numbered label written in ink on the lower right side of the back of the stretcher; there are French and Arabic labels on the upper left and lower right corners (respectively) of the stretcher.

Horizontal painting on animal hide depicting four human figures. The figures on the viewer's left and right sides are sitting on stools, while the two figures in the centre are squatting. All four figures are wearing white clothes with coloured accents: the two figures on the stools both have red accents; the centre-left figure, blue; and the centre-right, green. The figure with blue accents is holding a cup to their mouth while the figure with green accents appears to be spinning fibre. The figure on the viewer's right side is reaching into a basket on the floor and also has marks (tattoos ?) on their arms and chest. The figure on the viewer's left side has a small table with cups in front of them on the floor. There is Ethiopian text above the two figures on the viewer's left side as well as below the figure on the viewer's right side. There is a small numbered label written in ink on the lower right side of the back of the skin.

Vertical painting on skin depicting a humanoid angel standing on top of a humanoid demon-like figure. The angel is carrying a sword in their right hand and a rope, which is tied to the demons' wrists, in their left. The angel has a halo-like shape behind their head, and two large, multi-coloured wings. The demon-like figure is lying on their back, with their wrists and ankles bound. There is Ethiopian text below the demon-like figure's head and next to the angel's left wing. There is a small numbered label written in ink on the lower left side of the back of the skin.

Kalvak/Emerak Memorial Portfolio3662/1 a-b

Portfolio, consisting of a special edition hard cover folder (part a) and a title page (part b), as well as a lithograph portrait of each artist (parts c, j), and twelve prints (parts d-i, and k-p), six by each artist. Folder is light grey with central design of a large ulu, done in dark grey spots and curvilinear lines. Title is written along top edge, and Holman Eskimo-Cooperative logo, consisting of an ulu with "HOLMAN" written through the centre, along bottom edge. There are metal grommets along the right side. Attached to back cover, inside, is a gloss paper folder for holding loose pages. The title page (part b) is done on gloss paper and has acknowledgements, in English, Inuktut, and French, and edition number, 14/55. "KALVAK/EMERAK" and Holman Eskimo Co-Operative logo done in orange-red, all other text done in dark grey. All internal prints/pages are loose, not bound.

Horizontal painting on animal hide depicting four human figures and a zebra. Three of the four figures have yellow circles (halos) with red curvy lines behind their heads. The figure on the viewer's left side does not have a halo, but is carrying a woven basket-like item on their back using a white garment. To the viewer's right of this figure is a zebra with a second figure riding on it. The figure on the zebra is carrying a smaller third figure (likely a child) on their lap. To the viewer's right of the zebra is a fourth figure who is carrying a staff in their right hand while their left hand is outstretched. There is black Ethiopian text next to the fourth figure's left foot as well as red Ethiopian text to the viewer's right of this figure's halo. There is more red Ethiopian text between the halos of the second and fourth figures, as well as more black Ethiopian text above the red text. There is also more black Ethiopian text above the head of the first, non-haloed figure. There is a small numbered label on the lower right corner of the back of the skin.

Vertical painting of a stylized anthropomorphic figure with the head pointed up, toward the top of the canvas. The figure is primarily hot pink and decorated with orange dots, circles, and lines (u-shaped, v-shaped, zigzagging, curved, and straight). Extending downwards from the figure's head is a long shape that is outlined in orange and filled with pink dots and orange lines. This shape is on the left side of the canvas and curves at the bottom to continue onto the right side, where it connects with another large shape, which the figure is turned towards. This second shape is also outlined in orange and contains pink stripes and curved orange lines. The top of this second shape appears to depict a pink face with orange detailing. The cloth is stretched on a wooden stretcher and held in place by nails. Some paint on the front has bled through to the back, and there are also other paint marks on the back. There is a numbered label written in pen on the lower right corner of the back of the stretcher. There are French and Arabic labels on the upper left and lower right corners (respectively) of the stretcher.

Horizontal painting on animal hide depicting a nativity scene with four human figures. Three adults are crouched or kneeling around a baby wrapped in white cloth and laying on hay. Two adult figures on the viewer's left and right sides have yellow circles (halos) with red lines behind their heads. The baby also appears to have a halo. The adult figure in the centre of the painting does not have a halo, but there is black and red Ethiopian text above their head that extends to the right, above the halo of the figure on the viewer's right. Three small animal heads are located between the centre and right figures. There is additional black Ethiopian text below the left foot of the figure on the viewer's right side. On the back of the skin, there is a small numbered label written in ink on the lower right corner.

The top right figure is dressed in white only and appears to be clapping. The figures with coloured garments appear to be playing musical instruments. The figure in blue is holding a lute-like instrument; the figure in red, a harp-like instrument; and the figure in green, a flute-like instrument. The bottom two figures (in red and green) are sitting while the top two (in blue and white) are standing. There is Ethiopian text on the top and bottom right corners. The skin is outlined (except on the left side) by a thin red line. There is a small numbered label written in ink on the bottom right of the back of the skin.
