Human figure standing on a rectangular (nearly square) base. The edges of the base are slightly uneven, and there is a small jut on the back edge of the base. The figure is wearing a long headdress with three points emerging from the top. The figure's arms are curved downward, and their hands hold a large drum. The drum, headdress, and the back of the figure's legs and buttocks are painted red, white, and yellow.
Sleeveless blouse. Square-shaped brown blouse composed of two long rectangular pieces of textile folded lengthwise, partially stitched together on their long edges, leaving two armholes and a neck hole. The weave has subtle horizontal purple lines, light brown stepped lines and dark brown metallic thread lines throughout. Mid-textile, about 4 cm of fabric has been folded in and sewn creating a subtle raised band. The armholes are lined with off-white buttons stitched on in alternating dark green and pink threads and some sequins. The neck hole is lined with tube-like seeds attached horizontally with a single off-white button at the centre on both front and back. The same seeds are attached vertically in pairs spaced around the bottom hem over top of purple and metallic thread embroidery. The centre seam and side seams are embellished with grey sequins. Collector's tag sewn to interior.
Woman's blouse. Black velvet(?) blouse that is short in the torso with long sleeves. The blouse has an open front with a red collar that extends down the opening. Six silver-coloured diamond-shaped metal decorations are stitched down the front on each side. Lines of embroidery in red, yellow, pink and green thread with silver sequins encircle the wrists, shoulders and hems. The lower back is embroidered with a rectangular section of embroidery with vertical lines of red, yellow, pink and green thread with silver sequins, with rows of embroidery below. Interior is unlined.
Wrap-around skirt. Overall design of repeating yellow, green and then yellow and then two pink dotted lines, then three solid pink lines on a black background. A single column of silver sequins are sewn down the centre of the textile. Both the top and bottom edge have beaded fringe. Some have four or five white beads, and some have two white beads with a clear cylindrical bead in between. Single-sided embroidery. Collector's tag is sewn to the back.
Three separate belt styles - red hoop belts (seven hoops currently tied together; part a), black multistrand string belt (part b), and a fabric belt with a metal coil around it (part c).There are seven hoop belts of bent bamboo grass(?) or rattan(?) that have been lacquered red which have been tied together with red and green string. The multistrand belt is made of coiled loops of twisted black fibre which has been tied together with red and green string. The fabric belt is a strip of cloth with metal coiled around the midsection. One end of the fabric has several knots along it, possibly incorporating more cloth.
Bentwood box (part a) with red painted corners and lid (part b). The box is lashed and sewn together with root along the seam. There is a notch cutout of the centre of the front panel. The lid has a carved geometric design on the top painted with red details and red corners that line up with the red corners of the box. There is a small x-shaped cut centred along the edge on the underside. Price penciled on interior with small adhesive price label overtop.
Short knife consisting of a stone biface blade with antler handle. Blade is triangular with a rounded point; tang inserted in between two pieces of antler. Antler pieces have flat interiors, with carved notches where tang fits, and rounded exteriors; making handle cylindrical. Pieces of handle are attached with metal rivets and sinew lashing.
Round beaded neck ring with striped design. Necklace consists of eight rows of encircling beads, becoming successively smaller in size towards centre. Rows are (from exterior to interior): alternating white and blue, orange-red, amber, orange-red, white, orange-red, periwinkle blue, orange-red. All beads are circular except for white beads in exterior row; white beads are oval-shaped. Thin strands of braided metal placed intermittently across neck ring to hold beads in place. Necklace secures at back with a large hook clasp.
Folding coconut shredder stool. Stool consists of two rectangular boards with slight zigzag profiles and cutouts in their centres; cutouts have angled edges. One board is inserted through the cutout of the other, allowing them to fold inward and outward; rest flat when folded inward, form a low "X" shape when folded out. The upper arms, that form the seat, are decorated with stain and incised geometric motifs. Pencil grid overtop each arm with central design of three interconnected diamonds, inside a vertically oriented rectangle, with diagonal lines extending from top and bottom corners; space between edges of diamonds and rectangle border are carved out. Edges of seat are stained(?) dark brown; checker pattern across centre, where arms meet. Extending from the front arm is a serrated blade. Blade is oval-shaped and is inserted into a rectangular protrusion that ends in a triangle-like base; area around top of rod is circled with metal. Triangle-like base of rod decorated with incised crisscrossing and diagonal lines. Lines, and edges of rod, are darkened with stain(?). Rest of stool is undecorated.
Shallow, circular husking basket woven from plant fibre; done with herringbone twill weave. Rim formed with two wood coils, wrapped in same plant fibre as basket; main body of basket secured between coils. Sections of plant fibre wrap are darker than rest, forming a light striped pattern around opening of basket. Entire basket is naturally coloured a light yellow. Small metal loop is threaded through bottom edge.
