He has yellow-beige natural wood for skin, and painted oval black eyes, black hair and moustache, and red lips. He has a moveable lower jaw, hinged with leather both within the head and small straps on either side, and fishing line extending out from the chin down the front of his collar. His fabric body / tunic is black and white gingham. The fabric is nailed to the hands and head. Each hand has a single hole extending through the hand for possible accessories. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.

Calungo hand puppet of a 'Cachorra Pechincha' (bargain dog?) character. The light brown dog is made with wood covered in fabric. It has small ears and a slightly curled tail. Black wood eyes and painted nose, and drawn red mouth. In place of legs, a tube of mixed animal prints (stripes, spots) fabric in black, brown and white extends down, which is where the hand is inserted.

The body is jointed at the elbows, shoulders, and hips – held together by fabric underneath main outfit. The left wrist has a length of black-brown cord tied to it, and the right wrist is tied with string to a long metal rod with an eye hook on each end. On her right ring finger, she wears a gold-coloured ring with a green jewel. She wears pink with silver damask top and pantaloons. A length of navy blue with peach floral pattern skirt is wrapped around the waist, and held with a belt of bright purple fabric adorned with sequins, and a row of beading hanging down. From her jeweled crown, a train woven fabric extends down. She wears a pair of beaded earrings, and a necklace (part c) around her neck. All the fabric is edged with gold applique. She has painted blue shoes with a flat tack or nail in each heel.

Mamulengo hand puppet of a 'Quitéria' character. Carved from wood and painted. She has light pink skin, wide dark blue eyes, and a slightly open mouth with large red lips. She wears a dress made of two different floral-patterned fabrics with dark pink ribbon lining the neckline, belting the waist, and along the hem of each layer of the skirt. She has long brown hair with a dark pink mesh floral ornament on the right side of her head, and her face is painted with green eye shadow, long black lashes, and dark red circles of blush. The fabric is adhered(?) to the hands. Her boots are painted black.

Mamulengo hand puppet of an 'Inspetor Peinha' (inspector) character. Carved from wood and painted. He has light pink-beige skin, wide brown eyes, pointed nose, thin "pencil" moustache, and thin red lips around a slightly open and down turned mouth. He wears a dark teal cap over short black hair that is adhered to the head. He wears a khaki brown collared shirt that is belted below his large stomach, and dark teal pants. The fabric is adhered to the hands. The hands are carved to define the fingers, and the boots are painted black. He holds a small wooden club in his right hand.

He has black skin, glass eyes with sparkles, orange wool hair and beard, red lips and eyebrows, metal teeth and prominent white eyelashes. His jaw is hinged, and is operated by a control wire under his chin. He wears a basketry hat, with the rim wrapped with light blue ribbon. His fabric body / tunic is sky blue with large pink flowers and green leaves, with a cutout floral pattern within. The fabric is adhered to the hands and head. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.
