An arrow with a shaft (part a) made of rounded light brown wood. There is a small lance-olate-shaped iron arrow point (part b) that has an incised line down the middle on both sides. A dried leaf fits through a slit at the end of the shaft. At the end of the shaft, there is a horizontal band, and a simple grooved finial at the end.

Three rectangular-shaped woven pieces with one piece (part a) fitting into the other piece (part b), and a lining (part c) that fits inside one piece (part a). The first piece (part a) is green with a white zigzag strip with sun-burst-shapes woven along the bottom. The second piece (part b) has a white, red, and yellow geometric design on a green background. The last piece (part c) is plain, and natural-coloured. General wear.

Book of St. Matthew written in Tamil. Pages are made of palm leaf with a hole through which string is threaded to wrap around the book. Nine pages have writing on both sides, one page has writing on one side and one outer page is blank.

BasketB756 a-b

Basket (a) that has a wide, open weaving technique of horizontal plant leaves and vertical bamboo on the sides, a smaller weave of only bamboo at the bottom, and a very tight weave of bamboo strips at the top. An insert (b) of woven bamboo sits inside the bottom of the basket. There are two plant fibre tassels attached to the sides of the basket, and four that hang from the bottom of the basket. A design of vertical lines has been burnt into the border as well as the top row of the wide open weaving section. A monkey skull has been affixed to one side of the basket with its nose facing the bottom of the basket, and it has been painted white underneath the eye sockets. There are two loops on the reverse side, and one on the inside of the basket, likely for attaching straps.

Circular, dome-shaped hat made from leaves with banding around the rim. A circular fabric piece with geometric red and white stitching arranged concentrically around a star design with a mirrored inset caps the hat's centre. Palm leaf painted or stained a red-brown colour, sewn to the rim and embroidered.
