Basket or purse of plaited coconut frond. The body is rectangular in shape, tapering in slightly towards the bottom. Both the top and bottom curve up towards the centre. The top has a long, oval opening.
White cowrie shells strung on a red plaited pandanus fibre. Two decorative pandanus fibre and shell rosettes hang off the bottom.
Beads strung in repeating designs. Three rows of beads are incorporated into design - bordered by black beads with white flower-like designs in between. The beads end on two orange flowers, and then have two rows of yellow and one row of red extend out to a large white bead. The straps are plaited pandanus fibre.
Fibre garland headdress of pandanus leaf. The strands of fibre are woven together by grass(?) at the band, then loose ends extend out creating a fringe. The garland is composed of two layers of fibre - one dyed a pinkish red, and the other natural. The grass band extends out forming ties at either end of the garland.
Dilly bag made from slender, twisted strands of leaf that have been woven into an open design of stretchable construction. Several strands create the handle, attached to the mouth of the bag on both sides. Mouth is reinforced with similar strands. The body of the bag is dyed in horizontal stripes of light, dark, and medium browns, increasing in thickness toward bottom. Shape flares outward and curves at bottom, where base is reinforced by thick ropes of twisted leaf.
Large woven mat with fringe on two sides, formed from the unwoven ends. Red wool-like fibre is loosely woven through the stitching along the fringe on one side.
Model canoe, with single-hull outrigger. Main hull is carved of a single piece of wood with a lip attached by twisted cordage, and stands upright on keel. Wood rigging with fine twisted cordage attaches main boat to outrigger. A woven rectangular sail is suspended between two posts, and can be balanced upright above the main hull. It holds patterns of x shapes in two strips, one vertical and one horizontal. Parts b-c are model paddles.
