Sleeveless blouse. Composed of two rectangular woven panels that are folded in half lengthwise, then partially stitched together down the long edges, creating a v-neck opening for the head and arm holes. Both pieces have single-sided designs of repeating embroidered diamond and other geometric shapes on black backgrounds. The lower portion of the blouse is embellished with dark red-brown beading. The sides are both lightly embroidered with designs in yellow and red, with some beadwork. Collector's tag sewn to interior.
Beaded choker-style necklace composed of a leather cord covered in pink beads with a gold button on one end, and a fibre loop for fastening the necklace on the other. Extending down from the cord are seven beaded squares. The squares are blue, black, and white, with white beads on the side and red beads on the bottom.
Rectangular fabric face covering, with coins and beadwork across surface. Covering has a plain dark brown-red centre, bordered by strips of metal beadwork, and adorned with opalescent buttons stitched with pink thread. Two eye holes cut out above rectangle; fabric ridge sewn down middle of covering, imitating a nose. Ridge has coins attached along the top edge, and plastic beads and buttons along the sides. The largest coin is a worn Victoria Empress - One Rupee India 1901. Three long tassels are attached to the top corner of both sides, and three short tassels hang from the bottom edge. The tassels alternate between sections of metal beading, wrapped metal fibres, and red, orange or green tassels. There are three straps attached to the back.
Rectangular, pale orange-red fabric face covering with beadwork and embroidery. The cut out eye hole is divided by two wrapped fibre strings down the centre. The edge of the eye hole is decorated with chain stitch and metal beadwork. The cover has chain stitch embroidery and beadwork in concentric lines, leaving the middle plain. A fabric ridge is sewn down middle of covering, imitating a nose. Ridge has white beads along the crease on each side, and is more heavily beaded on the lower half. Unlined.
Beaded choker-style necklace with a red and white triangular pattern. There are small black beads in between each row of the red and white triangles. Small black beads also comprise the centre of the top row of the necklace, with small pink beads on the left and right. One end of the top row has a white bead and the other, has a loop for fastening the necklace. There is a small, numbered inscription written on the white beads closest to the top on the side with the loop. The bottom row of the necklace is comprised of red beads, with a row of white beads above it.
Wooden dish carved in the form of a frog. The frog's facial features are carved, and the nostrils have inlaid white glass beads; eyes are made of inlaid abalone pieces; the rim has inlaid glass beads and oval operculum shells. The four carved legs serve as the feet.
Wrap-around skirt. Top portion is a solid dark blue. Lower portion has two thick bands of embroidered design on a black background, flanked by teal bands, with a large solid dark purple band through the middle. A single row of cowrie shells are sewn along the top band with strings of beads, evenly spaced, hanging down. Each string has many different sizes of reddish-brown cylindrical beads, a few small red glass beads, and each with a pearlescent seed at the end. From the centre of the row of cowrie shells, two bells are hung. Single-side embroidery.
Belt composed of three cylindrical pieces of fabric or leather(?) that are bound together and covered in coloured beads. The belt has various patterns, which are separated by two vertical rows of small white beads. The ends of both sides are covered with hide, with two tassels on both ends to fasten the belt. There are horizontal lines of blue and black beads next to the hide. One end of the belt has a large white bead on the hide, while the other does not. Next to the blue and black beads are vertical rows of small white and black beads. The rest of the belt's design is primarily composed of green, black, and white beads. The middle and top/bottom rows alternate between green and black beads (except in the centre of the belt where the middle row is pink), with additional white and black beads on all the rows. The centre section of the belt has pink beads on the middle row, with green on the top and bottom.
Bi-pointed stone head club. The polished stone head tapers at centre and has a hole drilled on one side. It is attached to a handle by inserting the stick into the hole, and then further securing it by wrapping a length of skin around the stone head followed by the shaft. The stick is covered by skin, which is stitched together with hair along one side. It is wrapped with beads in three sections: white, red, white; in between two pieces of red fabric. The end has two short leather tassels and an ornament with a white and a red bed, and hair wrapped in red fabric.
Small bag, rectangular at top with eight arms hanging from bottom (commonly called an octopus style bag). Both sides are beaded with floral motifs using tiny beads on a dark brown-red cotton. Each arm has a short red and brown tassels with blue geometric beads attached. Interior of bag lined with brown cotton. There is a red and brown plaited strap attached near the opening.
