Rectangular cloth is constructed in a tight weave, with thin alternating stripes of light and dark brown. Each dark brown stripe holds a series of stitched, evenly spaced yellow motifs, while the light brown stripes carry similar red motifs. A thin stripe of red cloth has been sewn to base. Textile edges unfinished.

Large, nearly square cloth constructed in a small weave, in several shades of brown. Patterning is dense, made of small ovals. A large grid covers the surface, within which are similar patterns containing a circle inside a square, surrounded by loose ovals. Edges of the cloth have been hemmed for display.

The spruce root is natural. The dye is brown.

Dyed gauze and lace cloth with plain weave technique in borders. Rectangular shape with three types of diagonal bands: waves, feline faces opposing to each other and lines. Short border has geometric fish; long borders have bird motif in brown on cream ground, and cream on brown.

Coiled cedar root basket and lid with cedar slat foundation. Imbricated designs in black dyed cherry bark and cat-tail. Parallel slat construction. Lid has slat edge with overcast splint construction. Cherry bark beading decorates edge of lid. (The lid is currently on top of basket A8454, but does not appear to be original to that basket?)

Woven and braided horshair in bands of black and beige chevron, plain white band, orange and black double band of chevrons, a plain white band, and black and white cheron. Tassels are white blue and black. Heads of tassels and ends of headband are woven in plain horsehair.

Pair of leather dance moccasins with tassels around the ankle and lower calf. Beaded floral design on top of foot. Top of upper tassel has been edged by pinking shears and lined with purple fabric. Leather is hand-stitched. Leather laces.

A small, square fragment of weaving. Light brown background with alternating dark brown and red-brown designs on each side.

Round coiled basket with slight inward curve to rim; a coiled loop handle is horizontal at the shoulder. A lid (b) fits into the top opening. Both parts are coiled and the lid has a central hole in it. The exterior walls are decorated with a three black floral designs; lid has black and beige rings around the centre. A second handle (c) has broken off and is stored separately.

Stiff, rectangular, brown, horizontally crinkled paper folder enclosing paper samples No. 568-600. Printed black and red on off-white label on front in Japanese and English, listing samples. White-brown inside with same horizontally crinkled texture. Folds with three half flaps at top, bottom, and left with a cover flap opening left to right. Smudges on inside of large flap and on inside centre panel.
