Large red vest with beaded front, skin ties, and skin fringe around waist. Vertical rows of pink, light green, dark green and black glass bead crosses, squares, and other motifs set within a while bead background are sewn onto two panels of light brown fabric with a border of the same red wool fabric used for the back panel. Along the back, at the waist, is a strip of striped cream, black and red fabric (Hudson Bay blanket ?) and long strips of deer skin are attached at the shoulders.

Moccasins2762/2 a-b

Pair of child's moccasins with beadwork. The design includes two navy blue, light blue, and red extended crosses at the front and four navy and red squares on the sides lie within a gray background that is rimmed at the bottom with turquoise and navy blue. Strings of beads are sewn with dark brown thread onto pale brown fabric that is joined at the heel and sewn onto a sole of deer ? skin. A trim of tan coloured fabric is folded over the cuff rim and along the front edge (no tongue).

Moccasins2762/4 a-b

Pair of moccasins decorated at the toe with short horizontal strings of small glass beads. The thick strip is made up of a yellow line with navy crosses between two lines of alternating red and blue triangles. Stiff yellow leather soles are sewn to cream-coloured deer ? skin tops with thick heel seams and skin laces threaded through one hole.

Moccasins2762/5 a-b

Pair of beaded, slipper style moccasins with striped design in yellow, red and blue on a white background. A strip of brown fabric backs the beads and is sewn together on one side to the skin sole. Black fabric lines the interior sides and folds out over the rim to form a black border that is outlined with white beads.

Imperfect Doll2699/1 a-c

Multi-media installation. The doll (a) consists of a wooden artist’s maquette body with brain-tanned deer hide head (no facial features), hand coverings, and dress (with fringes at sleeves and decorated with English and Cree text written in pink gel-pen ink), pink and yellow cut-glass seed beads sewn onto dress and moccasin boots, horse hair braids with white satin ribbon, ncecklace of porcupine quill, brass bead and sinew, clam shell earrings, and a belt with large brass buttons. The doll sits in a chair (part b) constructed of deer hide, wood, and sinew, and face a small LCD screen, which fastens to a wooden base (part c), and plays a video loop, with video and audio footage created by the artist.
