Day of the Dead figure. Figure depicts a skeleton holding a bouquet. The skeleton has white hair, made from a cotton ball, and is wearing mourning attire which consists of a long, black dress and black lace veil. The veil wraps around the skeleton's head, but leaves the face exposed. It gathers at the back of the neck, and extends behind the figure. The skeleton's bouquet is held upright, and is made up of one red, one white, one orange, and one light blue flower, as well as several green, segmented strands. The bouquet's stems are wrapped in green fibre. The skeleton's head is mounted on a spring, and it is standing on a square, dark green base.

Fragment: Headdress3263/83 a-e

Fragments from a headdress. Consists of feather plume (part a) and reed shards (parts b-e). Shards are likely from the headdress structure. All reeds have slightly curved interiors and are brown-orange in colour. Plume made up of long white, purple and green feathers. Majority of feather quills are wrapped in beige thread. Ends of quills twined together.

Fragment of a mantle or shroud. Rectangular in shape with grid pattern across entire surface. Grid squares have alternating vertical and horizontal stripe patterns. Stripes done in white-brown and dark brown. Textile stitched to cream coloured fabric, secured to off-white matboard.

Fragment from a mantle. Rectangular in shape and made up of three panels with different patterns. First panel, on left side, has diagonal rows across entire surface. Rows alternate between interlocking snake heads and wave designs. Done in dark brown, light brown-red, and in an abstract geometric style. Middle panel has vertical stripe pattern. Main section of panel has alternating plain grey-brown stripes and white and dark brown stripes, trimmed in blue. Left and right edges of middle panel have plain dark brown stripes, bordered by checkered stripes. Checkered stripes done in light and dark blue. Last panel, on right side, done in checkered pattern. Done in white and dark brown. Panels stitched together with dark brown thread.

Fragment of a woman's head cloth panel. Textile is square-like and cream coloured. Mainly done in loose gauze weave with sections of dense gauze weave throughout. Rows of "X"-like shapes and four-pronged designs embroidered across surface. Done in glide symmetry. Pronged design alternates between facing upwards and facing downwards. Textile stitched to grey coloured fabric, secured to off-white matboard.

Fragment: Garment3263/37 a-e

Five irregularly shaped fragments of a garment. Dark golden brown background with diamond designs across all fragments. Diamonds have dark brown interiors with small triangles and four zoomorphic figures inside each. Figures primarily done in dark brown, with black outlines, but there are also several figures done in white. All figures have diamond shaped eyes, long noses, one arm, two bent legs, angular tail(?), and a triangular outline around the back of their head. Several figures have their triangular outlines coloured in white. Largest fragment (part a) has two complete diamonds and a partial one along the left edge. Four figures are white, two in each of the complete diamonds. The second largest fragment (part b) has two complete diamonds. Four of the figures have their triangular outlines on the back of their heads coloured in white. The third fragment (part c) has one complete diamond and half of another along the left edge. Two figures have their triangular outlines coloured in white. The fourth fragment (part d) has one complete diamond. The smallest fragment (part e) has a single figure done in white.

Fragment: Textile3263/39

Fragment of a wide panel from a mantle or shroud. Rectangular in shape with ground cloth coloured light brown. Columns on the left and right sides with designs done in float weave. Columns are white with dark brown diamond outlines overtop. Inside diamonds are fish and bird motifs, done in abstract geometric style. Decorations on the right column only clearly visible on the back of the textile, material has been lost on the front. In between the two columns are vertical dark brown and indigo coloured stripes.

Fragment: Garment3263/36 a-d

Four irregularly shaped fragments from a garment. Dark red background with hexagon designs across all fragments. Hexagons alternate between brown-grey with golden brown interiors and golden brown with dark red interiors. All have snake-like faces inside of them. Golden brown hexagons have brown-grey snakes inside them, brown-grey hexagons have golden brown snakes. In the negative space, between the hexagons, are golden brown bird figures. Birds have brown-grey eyes outlined in red. Largest fragment (part a) has two complete hexagons and outlines of three hexagons along the right side. Second largest fragment (part b) has one complete hexagon and the outlines of two hexagons along the top and bottom edges. Third fragment (part c) contains half of a hexagon and part of the dark red background. Smallest fragment (part d) is a portion of the dark red background with golden brown bird figures. Outlines of three hexagons along the top and bottom edges.

Fragment of a woman's two-panel head cloth. Square-like in shape and coloured dark brown. Alternating rows of paired plain bands and loose gauze. Rows of gauze are wider than the plain. Braid along the entire right side, close to textile edge, marking the two panels. Fragment is stitched to grey coloured fabric, secured to off-white matboard.
