Large textile composed of three pieces of fabric, stitched together down the width, creating a large, rectangular textile with bilaterally symmetrical imagery. Wide middle panel has dark brown-black background with geometric and zoomorphic designs, flanked by side panels decorated with stripes, and central bands with intricate motifs in light brown on dark brown-black. There is a strip of fabric sewn across the back of the top of the textile with pin holes in it. Both sides fringed.

Ceremonial hanging or funeral shroud composed of two matching pieces of ikat fabric stitched together down the length to form a large square. Uniform geometric patterns in grey-blue, light brown and dark purple-red on a red-orange background. Both sides are bordered by vertical stripes of olive green, grey-blue, red-orange and light yellow. There is a strip of fabric sewn across the back of the top of the textile with pin holes in it. The bottom edge has fringe.

Kanduri style cloth, or table covering. Rectangular orange cotton fabric, covered with appliqued animals and people. The upper half of the textile has four rows with horses, people riding elephants, brown animals and then black animals. There is a rectangular structure at bottom, centre, with elephants pulling a carriage on either side. Above, are soldiers, and floral design elements. Bordered with a wide band of alternating elephants and human figures, with a large floral design in each corner. The border is outlined in repeating attached triangles.

Small square folded bag with woven strap, tied at apex with two small braids extending from either strap. Two large dark blue tassels are attached to each lower corner. The edging on three sides is dark blue. The central design is composed of repeating triple diamond pattern in orange, dark blue, and dark red on a green background. Strap is dark blue with a vertical band of orange bordered by blue, and flecks of red; folded in half along length; ends stitched to upper corners of bag.

There are two snap closures inside the bag.

The central design is on a neon pink background and is composed of repeating M to W-shaped zigzags in dark blue outlined in orange. Strap has alternating sections of pink and orange, with repeating sections of four thin red lines through and red edging; folded in half along length; ends stitched to upper corners of bag. There are two snap closures inside the bag.

Kente cloth composed of five hand woven cloth strips. The green strips have been stitched together along the long edge, and then embroidered with designs. At each end there are five rectangles across by five rectangles down each strip. The centre of the cloth has groups of three rectangles with embroidered designs spread out. Uneven fringed ends.

Thorn Carving3446/4

Thorn carving depicting a group of people at a market. Figures adhered to rectangular particle board base. Figures are wearing various outfits including dresses, hats, pants, skirts and short sleeved shirts. Four women have babies strapped to their waists. There are two rows of three tables in the scene, each with a vendor and customer. All vendors are sitting on cylindrical stools. Three vendors are selling food, one is selling pottery, one is selling textiles and one is selling(?) combs. The textile vendor has a sewing machine and is in the process of making a white and blue striped cotton cloth. The comb vendor(?) is brushing the hair of a kneeling figure. There is a small bowl to the right of them. Base, figure outfits, five vendor tables tops and half of the food are light yellow-brown. Figures, stools, pots, sewing machine, one table top, all table bases, combs, bowl and half of food are dark brown. Donor initials on base.
